Creepy voice

This may offer some good strategies but his voice is too creepy to listen fully. What happened to the refund option with audible?

A Universal Issue,
Revisado: 03-18-21
Although the story is told through generations of Muslim women, the theme of the powerlessness of women is universal. This is a beautifully written story whose characters are clearly portrayed. Very enjoyable.

A Wonderful Listening Experience
Revisado: 05-10-20
if you're from the south, you will want to read this book. the readers bring to life each of the characters. this is one book that I will listen to a second time!
This is one of the few books I have ever read/listened to a second time. Even better the second time. It's not just for Southerners. It's a wonderfully told tale of the intertwined relationship between three strong women. The voices that tell the story are memorable. Bravo!!

Historia
A woman disappears on her way to work. A man is convicted of her murder. But this case is different. Though the police believe they have the right man, key components of the prosecution case are missing. There is no body of the victim, no witnesses to the crime, no confession and no physical evidence: no DNA, CCTV or murder weapon.

Interesting story, well delivered

Brown & Ellis use a very interesting format to tell about a murder case in Scotland. Hearing the different voices make such a difference in making the story real.

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

A Diificult but Intriguing Story
Revisado: 10-12-19
Beautifully written and narrated. The violence was hard to hear but matter of fact presentation helped. The dynamics in this family resonate in so many to a lesser degree.
