Just a RECAP?!
Revisado: 02-27-24
This was not advertised as what it actually is. This is SO REPETITIVE and recaps every single character. It’s all the info we already know over and over from all the characters. I swear I heard the same story 7 times form 7 different characters! This should be listed as a reference guide for both series not a full FBAA book. There is NO NEED for this to be 26 hours long. And all we got was 2 bonus scenes that did NOTHING for the story and 5 or 6 Willa Collins escapades that were like copy and paste. I’m SO DISAPPOINTED

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Amazing and Gut Wrenching
Revisado: 11-14-23
One of the best books I’ve read this year! The narrator does an amazing job and the battle scenes 🤯 the emotion is too notch. I can’t wait for the next book 😫

This was absolutely heartbreaking, poetic, beautiful, sickening, and gut wrenching. I cried so much listening to this. The narrator did an amazing job, some of the parts sounded so real.

Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 07-14-23
This book is definitely not for me- I don’t agree with most of everything that happened in this book 🤮 but I did enjoy the narrator for Noah and Kaleb, hate the narration for Jake and with Tiernan it sounded like a whisper and no emotion at all so kept taking me out of the story

The Audio Ruined It
Revisado: 04-14-23
I was so excited for this audiobook but unfortunately it completely ruined it for me. The tone and inflection that the narrator gives the story makes it more comical and off emotionally compared to the actual story. It almost reminds me of like a 90s comedian newscaster or something. I was ok until Raihn was introduced and he sounded like Gaston or some kooky obnoxious corny old man. I kept listening but had to remind myself not to let the voice and comedic tone ruin what was going on but unfortunately I only made it so far. Now I feel like I need to just read the book from the beginning to actually make myself take the story seriously.
