I think I deserve a shot of whiskey for finishing this one!
I've been wanting to listen to Melissa Foster for some time now, and finally took a chance, but I have to be honest.... between the narration, and the story, I almost return this audio. Luckily, I made it to chapter six where the plot finally started getting interesting. It a was sweet story, and I really liked Bear's character; however, there really wasn't much that was exciting, interesting or engaging. I actually zoned out a few times. There was a back story on the heroine, and she had to live with the aftermath, but it wasn't delivered in away that gave it any intensity. This story may be perfect for someone who doesn't like a lot of angst or steamy romance, but for me, I like my stories to make me feel all types of emotion whether their happy, sad or angry.... I just didn't feel anything with this one. I gave the story three stars because I didn't dislike it.
Paul Woodson has a deep rich voice which made it a little hard for me to distinguish between the characters and the emotions. I tried adjusting the speed up and down, and finally settled for 1.25x the speed. It took a couple of hours, but I finally got used to his voice, and narration style.
For Melissa Foster's fans, this may be worth a credit, but I wouldn't recommend using a credit.... sale maybe.

This was my first Anna Lowe story, and it won't be my last. Lure of the Dragon ticked off everything I look for in a good PNR. A well written, fast paced, action packed plot, unique and interesting characters, and of course romance. It was an instant love story, but like any good PNR it's more than just attraction. There's something special about Tessa that makes her desirable to dragon shifters. She didn't know shifters existed, but when one of her clients tries to force her to mate him, she goes on the run to Hawaii, asking for help from the only people who can keep her safe.... more shifters. These highly trained, hot shifters are mix of some of our favorite shifters. The each have their own personalities, and I enjoyed how they interacted with each other.
The narration was great! Kelsey Osborne did a great job on both the female and male characters. I would definitely listen to other audios narrated by her.
Overall, this was a good entertaining story that kept me engaged, and an excellent whispersync deal. I will be keeping my eye out for the next book to be released in audio.

All In was a excellent heart-warming follow up to book one (Full Tilt.) After having my heart broken in book one, I was happy Kacey and Theo were able to find solace, and love in each other.
Book two picks up closely where book one ends. Kacey's is having a hard time dealing with her loss, and can no longer handle being in the same city. Without telling anyone, Kacey moves to New Orleans, and reverts back to old habits, music and booze. She's drowning in sorrow, and drinks to numb the pain. She writes, sings, and plays her guitar at a couple of the local bars, and becomes known as the drowning girl.
Theo isn't doing much better. He's struggling with the pain of losing his brother, Jonah. He also carries the guilt of not being able to uphold one of the promises he made to his brother, and for the rejection he feels from his father not accepting his career choice. Theo is a tattoo artist who goes to college to earn a degree in business management in hopes of opening his own tattoo shop. Theo's brother believed in his skills, and left him the money to start the tattoo shop, but his father doesn't approve of him being a tattoo artist.
Six months after Kacey vanished, Theo receives a call from someone concerned about her. He finally has the opportunity to uphold his promise.......to take care of Kacey. He flies to New Orleans, and helps Kacey recover, and kick her drinking habit. They become close, develop feelings for each other, but try to fight them. When they finally give in, they start a long distance relationship. Theo's family, and Jonah's closest friends are reluctant to accept their relationship, but do come around.
This story was filled with many heart warming moments, but the most touching scene, and my favorite was Theo's dad visiting his tattoo shop..... that scene was priceless!
The narrators did an awesome job, and delivered on the different emotions. All In is well worth the time, credit or sale. While this story can be listened too as a stand alone, if you have not listened to book one, I recommend listening to it first. Both audios are great, but book one was amazing.

Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal - that "it" factor that can't be described. Nolan Delaney has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league, but I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel 2,000 miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I'm really not as innocent as I look.

WELL THIS STORY'S CERTAINLY CONTROVERSIAL!!

I'll admit, before purchasing this audio, I really didn't read the description or reviews, and had a "what the he$$ did I get myself into" moment. After my initial shock, I enjoyed the story, and how we learn a little more about the Mr's back story, and how it begin, but liked the humor, and chemistry from book one more. I'm not into extreme role playing fantasies, and this ones pretty extreme, but have to admit J.A. Huss delivers a well written, thought out, and descriptive scene. She certainly does a great job of captivating the reader, and getting them hooked, and invested in wanting to hear the other characters stories. I also loved the author shared her thoughts on how she came up with the plot, and the characters. The only negative for me, was the instant romance, the heroine was a 22 old virgin who was ready to lose her virginity after knowing the hero one day.
An overall five star audio, flawlessly narrated. It's worth a credit!

Dark! Raw! Twisted! Tale Of Love & Revenge!

I've had this audio in my library for some time now, and finally took the time to listen. From all the reviews I was expecting a dark story, and just when I didn't think it could get any darker, L. J. Shen blew my mind. This story could be brutal at times from the characters dire situations, betrayals, to the sex scenes. It was filled with lots of dark, raw emotions, and some scenes were disturbing to listen too, but it was also action packed. These characters go from being captor, and hostage to developing feelings for each other, and teaming up to go on a dangerous, and destructive path seeking revenge. Their story wasn't perfect, but it kept me in suspense with all the plot twist, and listening to their love grow for each other.
Michael Pauley's a great narrator with a unique voice. You could feel all the tortured emotions these characters felt from anguish, fear, despair, and a whole list of more. It was truly an emotional performance.
BTD was a intense dark story, but the more brutal scenes are relived through memories. It certainly comes with trigger warnings (sexual), and may not be for everyone..... it was almost a little too dark for my taste, but I would definitely listen to another story by L.J. Shen. It was a good whispersync deal!

Heartbreaking Second Chance Love Story!

Callie Hart did an amazing job pulling the listener into an emotional heart wrenching story about two young souls finding love, only to be separated, but fate had a way of bringing them back together. Coralie may have suffered in silence at the hands of her father, but meeting, and falling in love with Callen was how she dealt with his cruelty. Told from dual POV's with past and present scenes, the listener follows the characters as they return back to their hometown to face the demons of their past, reunite, heal, and move forward.
Ramona did a good job on the narration. While it was difficult to distinguish between the characters sometimes, I definitely felt all the raw emotions throughout the whole story.
Calico was an emotional story, with great characters, I especially liked some of the secondary characters. An excellent find!

Wow! Chloe and AJ's story was stunning, and all I can do is ditto all the positive reviews! The mysterious AJ's secrets were heartbreaking! He wanted to be with Chloe, but wanted to protect her heart more, so he did the only thing he could think of, he pushed her away. Before Chloe and AJ found their HEA, their journey was bumpy filled with heartache, longing, secrets, and hit rock bottom. While AJ pushed her away, he was in the shadows watching and protecting her.
The narration was perfect. I loved how Terri portrayed AJ's character! Well worth a credit!

Suspense, Secrets And Surprising Twists!

This is one of those stories, the more I listened the more I was drawn in. While I felt the story had a slow start, Aly did an amazing job weaving the secrets, the plot twists, and keeping the listener in suspense throughout the whole story, by the end I was totally captivated, and listened almost non stop.
Jude (hero) and Ryan (heroine) first meet when he arrives at a house fire, and sees her standing on the ledge. With no one else around, he attempts to save her from the fire. Four years later, they both have scars, and deal with the horrors from that night in their own way. Jude has nightmares, blames himself, and lives with guilt. Ryan throws herself into writing, and romanticizes that night and being rescued.
Ryan's a complex character with secrets, and her story is more complicated. After surviving the fire, her brother tried to attack her, and told her he was the one responsible for setting the fire that almost killed her. He's angry their father left his entire fortune to Ryan and blames her. For several years, Ryan lived in fear of her brother, who stalked and terrorized her, so she hired the Guardian security agency to help protect her.
The Guardian's have become her second family, and they do what it takes to protect her. When the Guardians hire a new member, she comes face to face with the man who saved her the night of the fire. There's a connection, attraction, and chemistry between them, and they are drawn together like a moth to a flame. When they become romantically involved, Jude realizes quickly nothing is easy or black and white when it comes to Ryan. Protecting her will be a challenge, but getting her to open up, and tell him her secrets maybe the most challenging of all.
The character, and relationships building was great! I felt like I was right there with the characters listening to their banter. Not to mention, Jason and Andi did an awesome job portraying the characters, and bringing them to life. Definitely credit worthy.

McQueen and Jojo's relationship may have started out as a one and done rump, but no other woman has gotten under McQueen's skin like Jojo. She's a strong heroine who's tuff, devoted to her family, but lives a double life. She inspires to be a professional fighter, and trains hard, but doesn't let her family know. When her father, the boss over the local Irish mafia, arranges for her to be married to form an alliances with another mafia, she starts thinking she may never be able to realize her dreams. She runs into McQueen while training at the gym. He is known as a player, and for his one and done mentality, but there is an instant attraction, chemistry, and heat between them. True to McQueen's style, he comes onto Jojo, and she's ready to throw caution to the wind, after all their one time arrangement is just perfect for her. Normally, McQueen doesn't do repeats. He doesn't like the complications that come from being with the same woman twice, but Jojo stirs something in him. When the opportunity rises for him to be with Jojo again, he makes no bones about pursuing her.
McQueen isn't the only person who's interested in Jojo. Someone starts stalking her, and leaving intimate pictures of her and McQueen. If having a stalker wasn't bad enough for Jojo, she has to deal with her father, and brothers. Being with McQueen gives her the strength to stand up to her family, but when the stalker closes in on Jojo, McQueen maybe the only one who can save her.
This audio had a great mix of suspense, heat and plot twists. I'm looking forward to the next story in the series. While this is book three in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.

Great Story and Performance!

Mr. Perfect had a captivating plot that didn't waste anytime getting to the steamy scenes, and was packed full of humor, spice, and clever twists. While it's an instant love story, I enjoyed it! From the crazy texts, to the steamy sexapades, these characters had me cracking up, smiling, and rooting from them.
Rob and Ava did a fabulous job on the narration! I really liked how they portrayed the characters, and emotions.
J.A. Huss has got a creative, and wicked imagination, and it shows in her writing! I loved the bonus note from the author, and how she shared her writing process with her fans. Mr. Perfect was funny, steamy, direct, and a great escape! Well worth a credit!
