Historia
Can Madeline Waters capture a picture of the ghost William Gray believes is haunting him? Others have caught some shadowy figures on film at the Antebellum house, built in the 1800s on a private island in Winyah Bay, South Carolina. A single photo would result in William granting permission for her to use the private journals of his long-dead ancestor and namesake, Captain William Gray, in her thesis research. Madeline's disbelief in the supernatural isn't helpful and she wonders if the wealthy loner is suffering a mental collapse until she experiences the ghost of the Captain herself.

I didn't want the story to end!
Revisado: 06-04-18
The book is a nice, long story which I appreciated greatly. The best part is that the characters in the book are not freakishly skeptical about ghosts, they accepted their presence without the usual silliness that haunting stories have to work through. Great writing, beautiful visuals, and a unique, compelling story.

Historia
Branson Cudahy is as southern as it gets, a cyber-crime investigator from happily landlocked Lexington, Kentucky. He has been chasing a hacker for three years, and now the trail has led him to Lobster Cove, Maine... which is a real problem for a guy with a shellfish allergy. Jenna Sanborn waits tables to pay the bills, but she dreams of opening a quilt shop in the heart of town. She'd never even think of leaving Lobster Cove, but the handsome newcomer is tempting.

Great Couple, Fabulous Setting
Revisado: 03-26-18
Really likable characters and the hero's sexy yet vulnerable personality made the book a dream to read, and the description of Lobster Cove made me want to visit Maine. I loved the voice over actor's style, and want more from this author AND this narrator!

Smart-talking Sherry fought her way up from poverty to stardom as a country music singer. Now, she’s ever in the limelight, ever surrounded by clamoring fans, male admirers, and paparazzi, and her spangled cowboy boots carry her all across the country, from one brightly lit stage to the next. A renowned but reclusive playwright, Carston cherishes his freedom, the silence of his home in the woods, and his solitary country walks.

Complex Romance and No Cliches

I loved the story because it didn't go where I thought it was going, and that makes it memorable. The mix of character personalities provided fun twists.

Best Bosch Book So Far, SERIOUSLY
Revisado: 03-07-18
I'm honestly thrilled by the surprises, twists, and turns in this book. I've enjoyed every one of Mr. Connelly's books, but this one is just plain outstanding. I was prepared for the usual police procedural, but it took me by surprise in so many awesome ways. I'm going to buy a hard copy of Two Kinds of Truth and get it autographed for my keeper shelf. Woot-woot.

Every Book is Better Than the Last
Revisado: 12-25-16
Not only is Mr Connelly's writing becoming more fascinating and spine tingling, but Mr. Welliver's voiceover techniques are growing more and more perfect. I enjoyed the story and the narration and can't wait for the next book.
