Excellent Book and Narrator

Fabulous book by author C.L. Monaghan. Her historical detail is amazing, and I love the world she has created for main character Midnight Gunn. This book brings Midnight, Polly and most of their household staff to Scotland. C.L. writes a compelling story of gothic mystery that occurs to Midnight and those around him. C.L. words draw your in and the characters development is well done. It’s a nail-biting page turner story that you don’t want to miss. I can’t wait for the next Midnight Gunn Adventure.
Helen Taylor did a fabulous job narrating this book. Her voices and performance were quite entertaining and a pleasure to listen to.

Love this story of the adventures of Emma. So much action and emotions. You won't want to hit pause. Narrator does a great job.

Fabulous Audiobook

Heather Renee’s audiobook, “Shades of Magic”, book two of the Raven Point Pack Trilogy is an excellent book. Very well done for the middle book. This book starts with so much emotion and continues throughout. Taya’s pack continues to battle their enemy but this time with the help of the witches. The ending will keep you on your toes and you will demand book three. Which I’m so excited for. Don’t miss this book. Kasi Hollowell continues her excellent performances as she narrates this book. Her voices for all the characters are very well done. Her voice is very enjoyable to listen to the story.

Great Story!

Heather Renee’s series Raven Point Pack audio book, “Shades of Fury” is amazing. I was hooked on the first chapter. Kasi Hollowell does a fantastic job as narrator. I really feel her voice fits the character perfectly. In the story, Taya is dealing with a lot, especially with all that is happening with her family, the leaders of one of the bigger packs in the country. She stays amazingly strong through it all. The East coast pack plays a huge role in helping Taya and her pack. The three brothers of the EC pack are hot and so entertaining. I just love reading about them. Heather does an excellent job bringing the reader into the life of the story. I’m so excited for the next book. Definitely worth the listen to.

Excellent book. It was hard to stop listening when I had other things to do. The narrator at first was hard to get into her performance but it quickly became very good and easy to listen.

Love listening to Refuge!

Would you listen to Refuge again? Why?

Yes - I really enjoyed listening than reading the story. Refuge is an amazing story and I felt as I listened that I was catching everything. Sometimes when I read I'll speed read and may miss something important.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Refuge?

My favorite and most memorable is when Sara and Nikolas finally talk about the bond and how they feel about each other.

Which character – as performed by Caitlin Greer – was your favorite?

Caitlin did an amazing job that I liked a number of the characters. She really made listening enjoyable and did such a great job transitioning between the characters. If I have to choose I really felt like Caitlin nailed Sara the best. I could just imagine that was how Sara sounded and she would talk.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are so many in the book. I don't want to spoil too much for anyone who has not listened to the book. The story overall is amazing and I highly recommend it. It's filled with so much action, amazing character and relationship development. There are also some twist and surprises to keep you on your toes. You definitely get emotionally involved as you listen.

Any additional comments?

Again I would like to mention how much I enjoyed listening to Caitlin read Refuge. She did a fantastic job and I look forward to listening to the other books in the Relentless Series. As far as the book - I absolutely love this book. Don't miss your chance to listen to this whole series let alone Refuge, by Karen Lynch.

If you could sum up Runes in three words, what would they be?

Fun, Love, Loyal

What other book might you compare Runes to and why?

Elsker, by S.T. Bende would be a similar book to Runes. They are both about a girl who gets drawn into the Norse mythology world yet in different ways. Both the girls in these stories become apart of the Norse world as well. These girls are also strong, brave, and very loyal to their loved ones.

What does Stephanie Terry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Stephanie brings the characters to life by adding voice and emotion to the words and story. Having the characters feel more alive to me helps me feel more a part of the storyline. Stephanie did a wonderful job with her character voices, especially smooth transitions between voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I would have loved too if my life allowed and I would definitely want more to the story through the other books.

I love listening to audio books and how alive the story is brought to me. Runes is amazing story which I have truly enjoyed listening too. Stephanie Terry does a wonderful job bringing this story to life through her voices, pitches, and transitions,
