Great when stats aren't breaking the immersion
Revisado: 08-29-24
So far the series has been absolutely amazing. However in this book towards the middle there are 3 chapters I pretty much skipped. Durring the battles in these chapters every time a character used a skill or technique the full stats were given for it. This completely throws you out of the story, imagine a 10 minute fight with 30 minutes of Stat reading. I almost gave up on the series merely because that got so annoying. However it eventually stopped and went back to the normal occasionally stats given. Moving on to book 4 now hopefully it doesn't happen again.

So much lost potential
Revisado: 08-16-24
Couldn't even finish this one sadly. Partly into book 2 I gave up. It's just to boring. This is like a pg13 zombie series where the zombies are more of an afterthought or just obstacles. There's so many moments where you think there's going to be action and it just cuts to next scene...Most of the book is the mc doing self reflection and self praise. This series is for kids who want a zombie book, but doesn't want nightmares. There's nothing here, it puts me to sleep, I'm not on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next, I'm board and giving up to find something better and suggest you do the same. Hard pass on this unless you're 12.

There is only one person in his life now: Kelly, the sole survivor of the massacre. The two of them have carved out an existence for themselves, but in spite of Kelly's steadfast devotion, Zach finds himself questioning the purpose of trying to survive in a postapocalyptic world.

Holy delusions of grandeur
Revisado: 04-17-24
This will be the last book in the series I listen to. Free or not I can no longer tolerate this series. The mc Zach is God's gift to mankind and its getting old. I think the author is trying to live some sort of extreme fantasy that's ruining this series. The first couple of books were a bit cheesy but this is some next level bad. If someone isn't complimenting the mc, he's bragging about himself. Any time he uses a big word he defines it, don't know if this is because the author thinks the readers are stupid or the mc is just a douche. It's really sad because the story has so much potential, but the mc has become unbearable and unbelievable to be honest. You don't teach a group of marines how to breach and clear, they teach you. Zach is only 19 and seems to know everything, and it's just to much.Im done. I can no longer recommend this series. Books The first few are ok, but stop before you get to this one!!

Expecting cyberpunk and got Law and Order
Revisado: 11-02-23
I absolutely loved the first 2 books, and have been hoping it would continue. I was super excited to see a 3rd book until I listened to it. Don't get me wrong it's not bad by any means, but it not as good as the first 2. There was so much tech and cool things that could have made this book so fun, however all that was set aside for a political scandal book. There's not a lot of action or edge of your seat moments in this one. It was a how are we going to outsmart a politician while trying to solve a murder mystery on the side. It's worth a listen, but I was disappointed in the direction this book went.

Way better than I though it was going to be.
Revisado: 03-03-22
I absolutely loves the first book, and avoided the second because of the reviews. I got them both for a 2 for 1 sale and let book 2 sit in my library for almost a year. I ran out of books to listen to and decided why not...I'm very glad I did!! It takes a bit for it to start getting really good, but once it does it doesn't stop. You just have to get through the very strange beginning. Ignore the reviews and listen for yourself. It is different from the first book but thats not a bad thing. Bray is excellent as always!

A nice wrap up to a great series.
Revisado: 07-21-21
I'm sad but in a way glad this is "for now" the last book in the series. 16 books is quite the investment on top of the other fallout books.... Anyway on with the review. If you've made it this far you already know what to expect some drama, some laughs, and maybe a tear or two. Most importantly it's the end of Deno's story..evil cow. My only complaint is the ending not bad but not the happy ending I had hoped for. But again if you've read the last 15 books there's no need for a review. Its as good as all the others. Now on to lycan fallout......

Another absolutely great book in the series!
Revisado: 07-17-21
If you're this far into the series you already know how good it is. The greatness doesn't stop here. My only complaint about them is they're not long enough. Even at 8-10 hours I want more. Montana's shenanigans and day to day life is written so well you're captivated even when not much is going on. I burn through these books to fast completely lost in the story and at the end of every book am left wanting more. Montana stays at home for once and has to deal with fiends night and protecting his people from devils and somebody who shouldn't be there.......I need the next book now!

Historia
Clyde Hatchett has known he's had a corpse-king inside him, slowly trying to take over his body and raise an army of undead for a while now. And while that may seem like a rather, um, urgent matter to attend to, it's only now, after being forced out of Glaton by his best friends and then having to rescue someone's sister from a bad marriage, that he's actually in a place to deal with it. And he better deal with it quickly, since his entire left hand is starting to look like it belongs to the Crypt-Keeper.

Revisado: 05-16-21
If you're already this far in the series then you should know how good it is. It's just as good and funny as all the others. It has humor, action, sadness, drama, and humor humor. The only downside is it ends, and the cliffhanger ending...... Neil as always does an amazing job bringing Clyde and the world to life. Can't wait for the next one. Also if you haven't already checked it out hi good guy series is just as good!

This books title explains the whole book. By the time you are done you will be thinking there has never been a more accurate title in history. It is a great read, you almost can't stop listening because it has you constantly wondering wtf is going on. only thing I was bothered by was the audio quality is a bit off but after a while you don't notice. But definitely worth a listen, especially if you liked the previous 2 books.
