Historia
The campaign of destruction that Axel Soledad and Dallas Cates wreaked on Nate Romanowski and Joe Pickett left both men in tatters, especially Nate, who lost almost everything. Wondering if the civilized life left him vulnerable to attack, Nate dropped off the grid with his falcons in tow to prepare for vengeance. When Joe gets a call from the governor asking for help finding his son-in-law, who has gone missing in the Sierra Madre mountain range, he enlists the help of a local, a rookie game warden named Susan Kany.

This, unfortunately, is a timely warning about where we are headed in our country may be headed. I wish our leaders would read it and rather than laugh, that they would see where their inaction is leading us into hopelessness. Don’t let hopelessness keep growing.

Historia
The sight of a rotting corpse hanging from a noose is enough to stop any man in his tracks—and Luke Jensen is no exception. Sure, he could just keep riding through. He's got a prisoner to deliver, after all. But when a group of men show up with another prisoner for another hanging, Luke can't turn his back—especially when the condemned man keeps swearing he's innocent. Right up to the moment he's hung by the neck till he's dead . . . Welcome to Hannigan's Hill, Wyoming. Better known as Hangman's Hill.

I liked the story. This one was very believable. I think the story was more like what I see in historical works I’ve read about company towns. Great reader.

The reader is not the right voice for a rugged deputy who becomes the sheriff. He sounds a little too feminine.

Historia
US Deputy Marshal Earl Crawford had just entered the office after returning from a typically Texan assignment where bullets flew like dirt in a twister. He hadn’t even hung his hat when the boss approached him about an even more dangerous mission, but only if he chose to accept the job. Normally, he wasn’t given the choice, but in this case, even though he could have turned it down, he knew that he had to go.

Get real. No U S Marshal is as calm, kind spoken or sweet as Petits Blue eyed Blonde characters. Same eyes, same silly dialog with his medical description of every bullet.

Historia
As Carl sat astride his roan gelding and stared at Pine Bluffs, he knew that his days of punching cattle were over. The long drives across the West were dying now that the railroads had crisscrossed the Plains. Ironically, his last formal education had given him the skills and knowledge to help build those railroads, and now he’d finally put them to use. His short-term plan of spending a quiet night or two in Pine Bluffs would soon be altered by a simmering man-made volcano in the mountains of central Wyoming at a mine that provided the coal for the railroad’s locomotives.

Historia
Before the wagons left the Laramie Plains, a quiet epidemic began infecting some of the settlers. It was a disease without a cure and threatened to create havoc among the families. It started as just a passing remark, but soon word of a recent discovery surrounding Idaho City, just three hundred miles away inspired intense gold rush fever in many of the men. The first to become infected was Joe’s fellow scout, Chuck Lynch.

Revisado: 02-06-24
I really enjoyed the adventures of Joe and Faith Beck. I’m sure there is a world where things always work out with little or no negative impacts. These two are really fun and wholesome even though they’re pretty much always shaking up the sack. These stories are really fun to read. I hope the author keeps their lives going for many books to come.
