Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Now that was a good story!
Revisado: 03-10-23
I don't usually submit reviews because everybody has different tastes but this was a really good story and I was really sorry when it was over! I enjoyed this book more than I've enjoyed any story in a really long time. it's a big difference for Stephen King and it wasn't too long, it wasn't too short, it didn't have too many characters, it was a lot of fun. Definitely a big surprise and sorry I waited so long to listen to it.

Historia
“Homecoming” takes us back to Ford County, the fictional setting of many of John Grisham’s unforgettable stories. Jake Brigance is back, but he’s not in the courtroom. He’s called upon to help an old friend, Mack Stafford, a former lawyer in Clanton, who three years earlier became a local legend when he stole money from his clients, divorced his wife, filed for bankruptcy, and left his family in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again—until now. Now Mack is back, and he’s leaning on his old pals, Jake and Harry Rex, to help him return. His homecoming does not go as planned.

Excellent John Grisham, as always!
Revisado: 10-30-22
Loved it, the stories were excellent, and it was nice to not have a long novel to listen to.. I only go into the office 3 days a week and sometimes I forget what's going on over the weekend, these shorter stories were perfect.

Historia
Rock and roll in the BC (Before Cooper) era was a tamer, milder world. In Who I Really Am, Cooper’s latest addition to Audible’s Words + Music series, we learn how the boa-wearing (not the feathered kind) maestro arrived at a show and sound - let’s call it AC for After Cooper - that has entertained millions of kids while terrifying parents in equal measure. Cooper drew inspiration from Saturday matinee horror movies, applied a "no such thing as too much" attitude, and hitched it to a kick-ass rock and roll band.

Excellent Excellent Excellent
Revisado: 12-18-19
I don't usually write reviews and I enjoyed this book so much I just had to tell you! If you are at all a fan of Saturday Night Live or any of its many alumni, especially Chris Kattan and his zany brand of humor-and, yes, I LOVED Corky Romano-you will love this book. Roxbury gets watched every time we catch it on TV. I enjoyed this book just as much as a Stephen King or a Joe Hill or a John Grisham. What a very interesting life Chris has led. I was so disappointed when the book was over. I don't really have dreams of meeting celebrities, but that has changed, if I ever get the chance, I would love to spend a few minutes with Chris Kattan!

disappointing, very little content about the food, it Was more of a biography. It was interesting, but I expected more information about the food of the time, if I wanted a biography on Mark Twain I would have gotten that

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Extremely Excellent
Revisado: 09-03-19
I don't usually give reviews, but I couldn't resist on this one. This was an excellent story and excellently performed. I cannot give it higher ratings. It's not often that I'm disappointed when a story is over, this one could have went on longer. I hope Billy Crystal writes more things like this. Very entertaining, very unexpected!

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Historia
It's 1998, and for years the old First Bank of Cleveland has sat abandoned, perfectly preserved, its secrets only speculated on by the outside world. Twenty years before, amid strange staff disappearances and allegations of fraud, panicked investors sold Cleveland's largest bank in the middle of the night, locking out customers and employees and thwarting a looming federal investigation. In the confusion that followed, the keys to the vault's safe-deposit boxes were lost.
