Historia
On a beautiful spring day, six college students with nothing in common besides a desperate inability to pay for school gather to compete for the prestigious Hyde Fellowship. The six of them must surrender their devices when they enter Hyde House, an aging Victorian structure that sits in a secluded part of campus. Once inside, the doors lock behind them. The students are not allowed to leave until they spend eight hours with a college administrator who will do almost anything to keep the school afloat.

Awful Awful

This was the biggest waste of time. Honestly I can’t even think of 15 words to say.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Reviews need a six star

This novel is one of the best that I have read in a long time. The story unfolds at a perfect pace and I did not see the end coming. The whole storyline kept messing with my psyche. Superb!

Historia
Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math-whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can't afford to pay for. That's Jess' life in a nutshell - until an unexpected knight-in-shining-armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess' knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages...maybe ever.

The community along Oregon’s Deschutes River is one of successful careers and perfect families. For years, up-and-comers Liz and Owen have admired their good friends and neighbors, Carole and David. First Thing I will do
Revisado: 05-24-18
This was my first time reading the author. I generally do not leave book reviews, although I welcome the ones left behind by other readers.
The fact that Karen Peaks narrated this book was by far its best feature. I genuinely disliked all of the main characters, with the exception of the little boy of course. The story dragged out and it was very obvious from the beginning what was going to happen in the end. As the story developed I kept waiting something riveting or interesting to happen, but it just fell short.
