Well since I had to wait 4 months for the final book it took me a great minute to get back into the story! It was going a bit slow and same talk over & over for quite awhile but then action, excitement, and people talking and it was a true ending I expected nothing less if this series and look forward to many more from Rachael Caine!!!

Historia
Dr. Emory Charbonneau, a pediatrician and marathon runner, disappears on a mountain road in North Carolina. By the time her husband Jeff, miffed over a recent argument, reports her missing, the trail has grown cold. Literally. Fog and ice encapsulate the mountainous wilderness and paralyze the search for her. While police suspect Jeff of "instant divorce," Emory, suffering from an unexplained head injury, regains consciousness and finds herself the captive of a man whose violent past is so dark that he won't even tell her his name.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

A slow but interesting read
Revisado: 10-24-19
This was my first Stephan King book and not at all what I expected. More like a true event that happens in today’s world. Listen carefully to the audio to find corners that give light to the story. I have mixed feelings about the ending, but at least it gave some light for an ending. Not my best read but not my worst. It’s not scary but does have a twisted effect on things that couldn’t but wouldn’t be possible. But then again anything is possible I suppose.

Revisado: 09-18-19
Confusing till half way in audiobook to get a handle on whose who and boring mostly. Repeated facts over and over again. I couldn’t wait till it was over and as I suspected I guessed who was the killer but there was 1 extra lie I didn’t expect! But way too long like 80 short chapters. Other reviewers had similar results.

So confusing
Revisado: 09-06-19
I don’t know why I listened to this book! Awful, couldn’t follow, too many murders unsolved and narrators didn’t do a good job of different characters voices. Hard to follow! Would not recommend as an Audi able but maybe actually read the book to follow .

Too boring and long

If it wasn’t that I love the narrator I would of dropped this book after 2 Nd chapter. To drawn out, details repeated , and overall just way to long. Ending last 6 chapters says it all!
