I am done with men. I like my life the way it is. Calm, quiet, and very private. I may be a brash New Yorker, but I keep a tight circle, and I prefer it that way. Enter Colt Chastain, rising NBA star and magnetic single dad. He's set his sights on me and he's determined to change my mind. I told him he's the absolute last man I would ever be with. So, why does he think getting me into bed is a slam dunk?

A Delightful Read
Revisado: 03-23-23
Colt and Victoria are as different as night and day (both in appearance and personality), but as usual; opposites attract.
Colt is a devoted single parent; an extremely tall, good-looking, white man who is balling in the NBA. He is from Alabama has southern charm and manners, does not use profanity, eats healthy and his primary focus is his family.
Victoria is a gorgeous petite black woman dealing with subliminal childhood abandonment issues. She loves New York, is independent, and confident, and has an impenetrable bond with her immediate family. As a result of dealing with the childhood abandonment that they experienced from their mother, Victoria and her siblings both love and interact well with children. Their love and interaction with kids are evident throughout the trilogy and a significant factor in the appeal Ethan and Colt develop for Tara and Victoria.
Colt pursues Victoria with vigor and eventually breaks through her barrier. She offers him one chance to be in her life and he promises to make good on the opportunity. The rest of the story revolves around how life has a way of saying, “oh, you think you are in control, huh?”
This story is absolutely delightful. There is humor, personal demons, gospel references, and most of all dynamic personalities. The Taylor three are delightful and Cole’s family is refreshing and genuine. Ms. Solo stated that she wanted a break from the single-parent narrative, however, this trilogy and especially this story are my favorite so far.

Love This Story!
Revisado: 02-08-22
D.A. Young is a master at past/present narratives. She also does a great job at character development. Although Divina is the primary protagonist, Grant steals the show. Grant's behavior is driven by his character transformation. The storyline depicts how reverse bigotry creates an obsession for revenge and determination to recapture true love. Every woman desires to be loved on the level Grant loves Divina. Yes, the story is long but solely for the purpose of explanation. Grant is a pitbull and he implies, "He's an acquired taste, not for everyone" which is displayed throughout the 2nd phase of the story. I truly liked Divina but fell in love with Grant. I certainly would like to see more of his disposition throughout the remaining stories related to Kismet Cove and Baxter Park. I really enjoyed Ella and Wyatt & Zay and Fallon but Grant's dedication and strategy to win the love of his life is truly admirable. Excellent storyline!

OMG
Revisado: 10-20-17
This story was a hit when it first came out. It was read by the average reader years ago and it took forever for the audible to be published. As a result, for many of the original readers, that ship has sailed. If more of the original readers knew this book was recently published, I believe there would be more reviews as it is a great, clean but sexy story with a great HEA. In my opinion, it was this series that put Melody Anne on the map. Trinity and Drew have chemistry from A to Z. She is feisty and he is a tenacious alpha. The supporting cast is quite lovable and kudos that it was finally published. The entire Tycoon series is money well spent when seeking sexy, handsome alpha men, strong smart beautiful women and adventure, misunderstanding, forgiveness, love and HEA's!
A worthy purchase for the dollars! Long overdue.......long overdue!

But when their scrubby, worthless hunting land turns out to be sitting on top of one of the biggest oil wells in North America, they go from the rig to the boardroom and end up billionaires practically overnight. Now with enough money to do whatever he wants, Boone is developing a taste for fine things.

Well....where do I begin?
Revisado: 03-27-17
What would have made Dirty Money better?
My apologies for the brut response, however, this book was a waste of talent and time. It does not reflect what I have come to expect from this author. Character development was non-existent.
Has Dirty Money turned you off from other books in this genre?
I won't be purchasing any sequels for this series.
How could the performance have been better?
The book was just bad.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Dirty Money?
I would have started with a main character that was more than one dimensional.
Any additional comments?
Had I listen to this book immediately upon purchase, I would have requested a refund.

Awesome Sauce
Revisado: 03-03-15
What did you love best about Ride the Fire?
Pamela Clare is a fantastic author. She does her research, her stories flow and stay in sync from beginning to end. The characters are well defined and there is always, hot romance in very good taste and action. The men in her books are men all women want to meet and marry.
What other book might you compare Ride the Fire to and why?
The Blakewell/Kenleigh saga is a wonderful trilogy. In my opinion it stands alone.
Which character – as performed by Kaleo Griffith – was your favorite?
Nicolas Kenleigh. Kaleo Griffith has such a wide range of voice impressions. I absolutely love him!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!

Horrible
Revisado: 03-03-15
What disappointed you about My English Billionaire 1 - 3?
Let me start out by saying I hate to negatively critique anyone's work to this degree. I admire the fact that Ms. Pearson has the fortitude to do an audible book. However, the dialogue is beyond tolerable. I finally gave up on listening to the book. Again, I applaude Ms. Fielding on completing her novel but continued reference to "Christian Gray" became annoying and I never was able to ascertain the plot. I tried to be patient hoping that eventually the book would grab my interest. It never happened.
Would you ever listen to anything by J. A. Fielding and BWWM Romance dot com again?
I love BWWM books. This one just falls short.
How could the performance have been better?
The singing portion was actually very good and impressive. However, outside of that, Ms. Pearson's voice is monotone and there is very little fluctuation. In addition, there is just way too much he said, she said for reading purposes. Example, Julie said, "How are you?" Her dad answered, "I'm fine." Julie said, "Are you sure?" Her dad says, "yes I am." "I'm glad you are fine" Julie says. When it is being read by someone, it is very annoying.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointing but wishing Ms. Fielding success in her next book and wishing Ms. Pearson success on her next narrative.
