Integrity is not dead.
Revisado: 12-08-24
It is disheartening to acknowledge that people with so little integrity and no love for the people of this country, sometimes reach the pinnacle of esteem and power in our government. The Clintons would seem to be little more than sociopaths and narcissism personified. The tragedies they created which were magnified by their blatant disregard for the most basic level of morality, should have resulted in their self imposed disappearance from society. Instead, without any sense of shame, they continue to unabashedly seek power, riches and fame.
Thank goodness for people such as Mr Byrne and Mr Panetta, Thank you both for your shining integrity and dedication to this country. You are both truly appreciated and will be long remembered.

Historia
The frontiersmen were a remarkable breed of men. They were often rough and illiterate, sometimes brutal and vicious, often seeking an escape in the wilderness of mid-America from crimes committed back east. In the beautiful but deadly country which would one day come to be known as West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, more often than not they left their bones to bleach beside forest paths or on the banks of the Ohio River.

Stopped listening.
Revisado: 05-25-23
If this was reality, I don’t want the horrific details. I believe the reader’s interest can be held without such graphic descriptions. Just too brutal.

Historia
Focusing for the first time on why attorney general Robert F. Kennedy wasn’t killed in 1963 instead of on why President John F. Kennedy was, Mark Shaw offers a stunning and provocative assassination theory that leads directly to the family patriarch, Joseph P. Kennedy. Mining fresh information and more than 40 new interviews, Shaw weaves a spellbinding narrative involving Mafia don Carlos Marcello; Jack Ruby (Lee Harvey Oswald’s killer); Ruby’s attorney, Melvin Belli; and, ultimately, the Kennedy brothers and their father.

Enlightening
Revisado: 02-02-21
This is a fascinating work. I became exhausted contemplating the amount of effort that Mr Shaw was required to dedicate toward research of this subject. You will learn of details that while intriguing, may also leave one frustrated with the knowledge, that very little ever changes within the world of humans.

Historia
Here is one of the most extraordinary and invaluable documents in the annals of Native American history: the authentic testament of a remarkable "war shaman" who, for several years, held off both Mexico and the United States in fierce defense of Apache lands. During 1905 and 1906, Geronimo, the legendary Apache warrior and honorary war chief, dictated his story through a native interpreter to S. M. Barrett.

Fascinating reflection and recounting of a poignant time in our history and of a man whose name and life have come to symbolize the plight of native Americans.

Historia
Dee Brown's eloquent, meticulously documented account of the systematic destruction of the American Indian during the second half of the 19th century uses council records, autobiographies, and firsthand descriptions. Brown allows great chiefs and warriors of the Dakota, Ute, Sioux, Cheyenne, and other tribes to tell us in their own words of the battles, massacres, and broken treaties that finally left them demoralized and defeated.

Stunned!
Revisado: 09-01-20
While most individuals who have received even a modicum of education, will be aware of the basics of early American Indian-Anglo conflicts, you will soon be stunned to realize how little has been taught in schools.
That human beings have potential for such grotesqueness and cruelty, goes beyond my comprehension. Not only are some eager to inflict such dastardly deeds upon another, they are also shamefully enthusiastic to do so. To realize that sheer greed and a belief in white superiority, could bring such devastation to another race, makes me ashamed and angry toward those who had the power to deal compassionately with Native Americans, yet instead chose to cheat and murder them at ever turn.
I am not a Native American and I staunchly believe this book should be required reading in our schools.
