Pretty good story.
Revisado: 03-21-25
Some of the conversations where some characters arei trying to talk like a “street thug” is pretty sad. Fortunately it only happens a couple times. Otherwise it’s a pretty good storyline so far.

Don't waste your time on this one.
Revisado: 07-02-19
I enjoyed the first two books so purchasing the third seemed like a great idea. I had to stop listening when Chloe got kidnapped. I could not handle the nonsense any longer. There are so many issues with this book. Numerous mistakes in facts and details about weapons, implausible conversations between characters ie. Cole talking to his parents about his relationship with Chloe and him insisting that he had to break up with Chloe because they are moving too fast, Cole having the ability to track a cougar and a dog (Bennie) through miles and miles of thick woods and Cole hearing a single gunshot 1/2 mile away and actually finding where the shot came from.... impossible. The first two books had a bunch of mistakes and contradictions but there were too many in this book. Mr. Newman needs to fire his editor and have someone how knows a little about weapons, realistic sniper shot distances by amateur shooters, combat tactics, the fact that people do not have long winded conversations during a firefight and that government communication bunkers do not have sky lights. I could go on and on. This book was sloppy.

Good story but something was wrong
Revisado: 02-04-19
I do not know if it was the editing or the narrator but so many of the conversations between the character had a long pause between characters when they spoke to each other. Also, some of the responses were odd and out of context. Real people do not talk like that. This issue actually got a little better after about 10 hours or so but it made the first half painful and frustrating.

Another excellent audible book from Mark Tufo. This is by far my favorite series. Sean Runnette's voice is absolutely perfect for this series.

It started out pretty good
Revisado: 08-09-18
I enjoyed the beginning of this book but the last half was difficult to finish. The narrator, Ben Clark has a great voice for telling a story but his constant, longer than necessary pauses between words slowly became irritating. There were also so many soap box moments for many of the characters. Their long stoic speeches to the other characters were unrealistic and took away from the story. The conversations between the characters felt forced and did not flow at all. There were so many “I said” (pause), “he said” (pause) during the conversations between characters even though It was clear which character was already talking.
