My new favorite author is James Beltz. My new favorite protagonist is D.J.Slaughter. James has brought new and very welcome creativity to the difficult job of telling exciting and unpredictable action stories that truly are non-stop readers. James Beltz switches the first person narrative around from time to time so you see what is in the minds of the other characters. Very refreshing. Like others said to me: "If you like Lee Child, or L.T. Ryan, you WILL like James Beltz!" I absolutely recommend his books. Enjoy!!

oh my goodness!

I am a spy and assassin reader, a Cussler devote. I found this book by accident. I read it on purpose to take a break from the other genres. Oh what a break it was!! Absolutely delightful! I loved the narrator, and loved the story!! The characters were wonderful. An enthusiastic recommendation all around! Please read this book, your ears and mind will be very happy.

This is a must read. Absolutely one of the top books in audio I have read. Fabulous narrative, great voicing, fabulous logical thinking and storyline and full of surprises. Highly recommended.

Could have been better if

I struggled with this one. The book excessively flowed a huge amount of technical facts which could have been better if the narrator was more involved in the story. Very dry, and read with intonation of a ten year old boy. Yes, even the gruff adults. Most memorable moments? The author was telling us about the feelings of a young boy crippled, walked with a limp and the onlookers oggled him as they passed by. But the narrator said the onlookers googled him as they passed by. Yep, Big boo-boo.

Best book ever

I have read many C.C. books, and most of the alternate protagonists novels that bear his name. But this book was so far above and beyond the others that I believe this book deserves my accolade of best c.c. book ever! Five out of five. You must read this book.

Five Stars is not adequate! Awesome!!

Oh my goodness! The storyline, the character building, twists, turns, the clarity of thought... Peter Clines gets a standing ovation for every aspect of this story!!! And Ray Porter and his special way of voicing the story is just amazing. Ray brings it alive! I simply could not put it down. Around every corner was unexpected and exciting reading/listening, all the way to the end. Well done!

Just Plain Fabulous!

This was a wonderful conclusion to the stories! Having read ALL of the Saga series and all of this trilogy, I am so very pleased at the wrap-up. Very pleased. Thank you Kevin. And thank you Mark.

What a BLAST!!!

I simply loved this book. The narration was fabulous! The story kept twisting and getting more exciting and I wanted to keep listening way past bedtime! Yes, this is a keeper!

Outstanding!!

This entire series has been Great, but Book 3 is over the top!!! Must Read! A super good story line that has many unexpected twists, and all were explained before the book ended. All successfully were linked back through the first two books! I simply stand and applaud Mr Webb for an outstanding book. And the voicing really brought it home. I like this book. Thank you!
