While at dinner in Kennington Palace, Sir Giles, the knight who escorted Hugh to London, is stricken and dies. Poison! Yes, I loved it.
Revisado: 10-23-21
I love Jane Austin's time, the early 1800s. That's what prompted me to spend an Audible credit on the book. All the conventions & requirements of those people whose lives revolve around Almack's. Thankfully, this is not a "cosy" mystery. I was tempted to give 4 stars to the story because I did figure the solution, which I do rarely. But the book too much fun to do that. Historical mysteries are my favorite.

What a great series!
Revisado: 05-20-19
The Habit of Murder is the 23rd Matthew Bartholomew book. The series is well plotted, well written, and lots of fun. I particularly like the end notes about the real people & incidents who inhabit both the books and Cambridge of the mid-13th century.

I fault the director or producer. I noticed at least 3 instances when the wrong word was said, but it wasn't caught.
