Historia
People come to Los Angeles to chase their dreams. Sometimes they find themselves cast into a nightmare. And sometimes, the most ardent dreamers turn out to be the most vicious monsters. The body of an aspiring actress is found dumped near a hospital emergency room. She’s been drugged and murdered and the motive for the callous crime remains maddeningly out of reach. Until, a prime suspect materializes. Another Hollywood hopeful. Only to be shot dead by a sniper using a weapon that turns out to have been catalogued in a previous murder. And another, before that.

Great Listen
Revisado: 02-17-25
I always love Alex Delaware books. And this one did not disappoint. Great story as always. And the Narrator brings the characters to life. I have been been a fan of AD before audiobooks were in my life but now the characters have been given personality due to great narration.

Historia
Former Blackhawk pilot Luke Angel wants nothing more than to enjoy the easy life he’s found in coastal Florida. He’s got a seaplane business, a well-trained dog, and a loyal and lovable crew to throw back margaritas with. But when a plane belonging to a friend goes missing from Luke’s airport, local detectives are understandably baffled. Clues are scattered from the Keys to the far side of the Gulf of Mexico, and Luke may be the only one with the connections to piece the puzzle back together.

Scott Brick’s Narration: The Only Reason I Stayed
Revisado: 02-05-25
The audiobook lacked momentum and coherence. Its sluggish pace and disjointed narrative left me indifferent about the unfolding events. I repeatedly anticipated a twist that would capture my attention, but instead encountered only sporadic bursts of action amid a muddled storyline. Honestly, if it weren’t for Scott Brick’s compelling narration, I would have stopped listening altogether.

I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, but this series gripped me. I became involved in the characters and story. It was full of action, intrigue, and suspense. I will most certainly continue this series.

Narrator great, story dull.
Revisado: 09-18-24
I enjoy this narrator in everything I’ve heard from him. I was into the story for the first half, but then it just became a dull series of predictable events. It’s like people only know how to write one story nowadays… one person (or a few people) being betrayed and having to fight against the “man” for good! I couldn’t get through the book, so take that into account when reading this as maybe it would surprise me. But I doubt it.

Clown show for a clown world
Revisado: 09-08-24
The book wasn’t horrible. I finished it. Mostly because I enjoy listening to Scott Brick. But the story was a joke. This super secret squirrel best of the best covert team is like a group of clowns. I want to say it seems unreal, but based on the ridiculousness of the world is probably actually accurate. 🤡🌎

US intelligence is reporting turmoil in the Russian navy. Their deadliest submarine, the Belgorod, has unexpectedly launched, and taken along with it a long list of questions. Who authorized the departure? What mission is it on? And, most disturbing of all, what weapons do the giant doors on the sub’s bow hide? It's been four decades since a similar incident with the Soviet sub, Red October, ended happily, thanks to a young CIA analyst named Jack Ryan.

Historia
Over the past hundred years, scholars have attacked the historical truth of the Gospels and argued that they were originally anonymous and filled with contradictions. In The Case for Jesus, Brant Pitre taps in to the wells of Christian scripture, history, and tradition to ask and answer a number of different questions, including: If we don't know who wrote the Gospels, how can we trust them? How are the four Gospels different from other Gospels, such as the lost Gospel of "Q" and the Gospel of Thomas?
