THR makes me emotional yet again.

I love it I love it I love it.
First things first, if you haven’t experienced the rest of THR (not only the adult novels) then you’re missing the point. It’s all a big overarching story and THIS is the biggest climax yet! So don’t just rush through without hitting all of the emotional beats! How could you even feel for Leox, Affie, and Geode without reading Into The Dark!
BUT Claudia Grey has done it again, reaching into the emotional depths of these characters and really creating some horrific Star Wars spookiness. Marc Thompson continues to enhance EVERYTHING. It’s all so good. That’s all. I’m emotional now.

What a wonderful ride into the psyche of a ferocious villain! Well balanced and greatly paced writing from Cavan, per usual, and incredible performances from the voice cast (ESPECIALLY Lourna). I was pleased with the ending and it makes me so excited for what comes next in the High Republic.

Another great HR entry!

I wish this audiobook had as much production as many of the other SW Audiobooks (sound effects and music were a bit more lacking than usual), but nonetheless I had a wonderful time! The narrator did a wonderful job as a storyteller, and Daniel Jose Older made me fall in love with new characters and ones I’d known from his HR Adventures comics and the previous HR middle grade book even more in such a short span of time. Excited to head on to the next adventure in The High Republic!
