Historia
In this provocative and inspiring audiobook, David Richo distills 30 years of experience as a therapist to explain the underlying roots of unhappiness - and the surprising secret to finding freedom and fulfillment. There are certain facts of life that we cannot change - the unavoidable "givens" of human existence: (1) everything changes and ends, (2) things do not always go according to plan, (3) life is not always fair, (4) pain is a part of life, and (5) people are not loving and loyal all the time.

Learning to ACCEPT
Revisado: 10-03-23
I would recommend this book to anyone want is on there journey to self care and love. The book provides so much detail and wisdom. I actually recently got the physical book to read along with the audible. I will re-visit this book multiple times as it provides amazing insight on improving yourself and over approach to life. The book does repeat itself often and can be a bit annoying on some of the points that he already went over and losing focus towards the end. But overall, great book and listen.

Are you often bombarded with feelings of guilt, stress, anxiety, or exposed to noisy, polluted environments? These disharmonious frequencies pull our systems out of tune and we can start suffering from illness in mind and body. The World Health Organization (WHO) considers noise pollution the second most dangerous environmental threat to human health, behind air pollution.

Perfect introduction to sound healing
Revisado: 08-29-23
I really enjoyed this book, not only the performance was great, but the break down was perfect.
It was hard to follow due to it being an audible and a bit lengthy, but overall I was able to keep up with it.
I also decided to buy the book to have a physical copy of it to refer back to it and take notes. The book contains lots of a history and usage of different sound techniques that you can practice causally.

Historia
After four grueling years, the Great War has finally ended. Now Ernst and the few men left from his company cannot help wondering what will become of them. The town they departed as eager young men seems colder, their homes smaller, the reasons their comrades had to die even more inexplicable. For Ernst and his friends, the road back to peace is more treacherous than they ever imagined. Suffering food shortages, political unrest, and a broken heart, Ernst undergoes a crisis that teaches him what there is to live for - and what he has that no one can ever take away.

Great addition to the previous book

I really enjoy this author use of words and description of events.
This book isn't fully like the first one, but the aftermath of war and the road home again.
It gives a glimpse of PTSD, family life adjustment, and struggles for rights as a vet.
I really enjoyed the performance and overall story.

Wasn't a good fit for me...but I'm sure for others
Revisado: 05-31-22
The Blacktongue Thief overall was an adventure story! However, the story lost me severally times while listening and I didn't understand the main mission. The performance was good, but it was difficult to know if it was an intense moment or not. The tune did not change much when events occurred. Overall, it was a push to the end but wasn't bad.

Push to the end
Revisado: 04-21-22
Following the witcher story at this point is more to push towards the end. The story is very difficult to follow via audible. The most important parts are hard. The story continues but seems to be the same as before.

Historia
Paul Bäumer is just 19 years old when he and his classmates enlist. They are Germany’s Iron Youth who enter the war with high ideals and leave it disillusioned or dead. As Paul struggles with the realities of the man he has become, and the world to which he must return, he is led like a ghost of his former self into the war’s final hours. All Quiet is one of the greatest war novels of all time, an eloquent expression of the futility, hopelessness and irreparable losses of war.

Remarkable Work
Revisado: 11-12-21
Credit well spent. This book captured 1917 on the other side of the battle. Not often do we hear about the other side of the fight in WWI, but it brings in the heavy fact that these were only kids fighting a men's war. Overall this book captures the purpose of the story and the impact of what it means to be a soldier. The narration is a bit slow, so listening to the 1917 soundtrack with it was perfect. It helped the booking flow together better. A heartbreaking story of WWI but insightful to all sides of the war.

Historia
What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our time, and my friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike. Couple of problems in the way - I hate the Fae, and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing, egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate, and control me. Oh - did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae....

not worth it.
Revisado: 09-01-21
I was hoping for a good story, but I couldn't get through the first chapter. I was highly disgusted. The author downplayed rape by flipping it as a desirable act. can't wait to get back my refund. you can have an exotic story but rape is rape no matter how you dress it up.

Historia
The year is 2033. The world has been reduced to rubble. Humanity is nearly extinct and the half-destroyed cities have become uninhabitable through radiation. Beyond their boundaries, they say, lie endless burned-out deserts and the remains of splintered forests. Survivors still remember the past greatness of humankind, but the last remains of civilisation have already become a distant memory. Man has handed over stewardship of the earth to new life-forms. A few score thousand survivors live on, not knowing whether they are the only ones left on Earth....

Overall this book was difficult to get through and following along. Listening to the soundtrack helped enhance the story. I did not find interest in the story as much as I thought I would. I'm not in a rush to read the next book.

Great Performance, but story not sure
Revisado: 06-24-21
Overall, the book was great but it seemed a bit rush. I wish there was more character development with the main character and her love life. It was an easy-flowing book and the narrator did great. But, it would grab my attention in some parts but fall in others.

Great Performance, but story not sure

I didn't learn much from this book. It was almost like a filler episode. Wasn't bad, but I was a bit confused about where the story fit or taking us not until the end.
