The premise was good, taboo love story but it had no depth, unrealistic sex and almost a rape scene. It had promise but the characters never developed. There was 90% sex which was most of the book and 10% story. So disappointed.

This is a 17 then 18 year old girl who sleeps with the dad and 2 sons in the same house and both brothers at the same time. This is soft porn, cringe, eeewww and so unbelievable. What a waste of my credit. I am so pissed.

I didn't enjoy it.Far-reaching story..drags on...I bought it based on reviews but it sucked! Good performance though. I think the hero was selfish, really couldn't get past his dad's treatment even though he was dead. Oh and the duel scene..made me want to stop listening then and there. I wasted a credit!

It was a depressing story full of sad, hurtful things and the heroine was constantly fearful of everything and everyone...uggh...waste of a good credit!

Lovely Story

Was very engaging. ..Mary Elena finally got her due! It was a lovely story...it is predictable. I wish there was more of Nikolas' view which the story lacked, but I am really enjoying Brenda Joyce's books as much Julie Garwood.

Overall entertaining but story is a bit shallow.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

It had a good premise but the heroine is such a push over it becomes annoying. She is so insecure and lets her sister walk all over her even though she knows she is being deceived. It was worth one read...maybe if it was free or less than $5. Not worh a credit though.

What did you love best about The Bride?

Newly introduced to Julie Garwood and I was truly impressed. There are comical aspects in the story which made me laugh out loud. What a wonderful book!

Timeless Classic!

Where does Outlander rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best books I have ever listened too or read. It kept me wanting more and I could not wait to start where I left off.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is original and the historical aspect is on point. The characters were well developed as the book progressed and you could actually feel the love between Claire and Jamie intensify and you want to root for them.

Which character – as performed by Davina Porter – was your favorite?

Jamie..she plays him wonderfully.
