Historia
Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Good info, too many numbers/figures
Revisado: 10-06-19
Overall, I'm content with my purchase of this book but I would have preferred a hard copy. There are lots of numbers/figures/valuations in this book that do not translate well into the audiobook niche. I'm a very intelligent and logic driven individual and I still found myself zoning out when M.J. went on his mathematical number tangents to drive home a point. If you can look past all that, there's some very useful info to be found.

Classic read
Revisado: 08-18-18
This has always been a classic which I try to read at least once a year. It has aged very well and the same principles can be applied today. There is a version of this book geared towards the technological age but you can never replace the classic wisdom Dale Carnegie wrote on these pages. Great read.

Found myself getting distracted
Revisado: 10-18-17
Overall, a good listen and there was valuable insight but I found it was hard to focus at times because the narrator had that type of voice and the information seemed repetitive. There wasn't a ton of technical math but there was enough number crunching that it could distract you from the message of the story.

Historia
Entrepreneurs often suffer from "superhero syndrome" - the misconception that to be successful, they must do everything themselves. They are not only the boss but also the salesperson, HR manager, copywriter, operations manager, online marketing guru, and so much more. It's no wonder so many people give up the dream of starting a business - it's just too much for one person to handle. But outsourcing expert and "Virtual CEO" Chris Ducker knows how you can get the help you need with resources you can afford.

A bit repetitive
Revisado: 09-08-17
All power to the author for bringing this concept to the light of day but it ended up being a huge ad for various sites and back to back examples of how somebody felt overwhelmed, got a VA, and then everything was better. Very repetitive but had some good content mixed in.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Interesting but repetitive
Revisado: 06-02-17
This book came highly recommended for me so I was excited to listen. It certainly had some interesting stories and I picked up on what I believe the author intended by them but it felt like something was missing the entire time. Normally I can finish a book this long in about a week but I found myself dragging this out for closer to a month. I just could not sit and listen for hours at a time. Not to say it's a bad book but it seemed a little lackluster in my eyes. Still worth the listen though.

Les Brown is an inspiration
Revisado: 04-29-17
I have been listening to Les for years and years and he never ceases to amaze. He is an incredible motivational speaker and I stand by him no matter what. His words have this way that they just speak directly to you. It's almost as if Les were in front of me and coaching me through my day to day life. I highly recommend this book because it collects so many of his empowering speeches into one easy to navigate source.

Revisado: 04-08-17
I'm very big on personal development and this book had a ton of very worthwhile information. the only drawback was repeated acknowledgement and promotion of Jack Canfield's website. Other than that, amazing examples and real life comparisons to utilize the information in the book
