Historia
Pilgrim seeks sinners for mutually beneficial arrangement. Tireless. Result-oriented. Reliable. Seven Deadlies a specialty. On her 1,300 kilometre pilgrimage from Granada to Galicia, Ailsa Piper carried an unusual cargo. Walking in the tradition of medieval believers who paid others to carry their sins, Ailsa lugged a swag of confessions from friends, colleagues and strangers.

Walked with her
Revisado: 07-27-20
Alisa’s writing was so expressive; I could feel the sun’s heat, the wind’s cooling breezes and hear all of the accents of fellow pilgrims on the Camino. Having done the 100km journey, I long more than ever to do the whole ‘way’, knowing the challenges that I will face, but more so looking forward to the time to be alone with my thoughts, with nature and to feel the love of God, (even though she often doubts her faith, which we all do!) I am so thankful for this book, for her sharing her journey, and a piece of herself. Definitely not selfish. ;)

Historia
A runaway international bestseller, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry followed its unassuming hero on an incredible journey as he traveled the length of England on foot—a journey spurred by a simple letter from his old friend Queenie Hennessy, writing from a hospice to say goodbye. Harold believed that as long as he kept walking, Queenie would live. What he didn’t know was that his decision to walk had caused her both alarm and fear. How could she wait? What would she say? Forced to confront the past, Queenie realizes she must write again.

So sweet and descriptive
Revisado: 10-16-19
I loved Harold’s journey and to hear Queenie’s side of the story was lovely. I felt like I could see her standing on the shore with the wind brushing across her face, I could smell Harolds cologne, I could feel the tension surrounding David and the comradery in the hospice. The characters felt like old friends and it was sad when they would pass away and the undertakers van would show up.
A beautiful companion story to Harold Frey’s journey.

Nice short story, over the top in some areas
Revisado: 06-27-19
Cute story, very imaginative, but a bit over the top with sex talk in one area. Took away from the sweetness of the story.
