Historia
As fires devastate most of the United States, Lark and his family secure a place on a refugee boat headed to Ireland, the last country not yet overrun by extremists and rumored to be accepting American refugees. But Lark is the only one to survive the trip, and once ashore, he doesn’t find the safe haven he’d hoped for. As he runs for his life, Lark finds an abandoned dog who becomes his closest companion, and then a woman in search of her lost son. Together they form a makeshift family and attempt to reach Glendalough, a place they believe will offer protection.

Wonderful story
Revisado: 12-06-22
Silas House has done it again and written a masterpiece. I encourage everyone to listen to it; it is moving and draws the listener into the to story, as does all of his work.

This is a great book.
Revisado: 09-28-21
This book has the most important element of a great book, I felt as though I knew these people. It tells the story of a Jewish family which practice the old adage, " It takes a village to raise a child." The different characters have their own individual personalities, each imparting their own wisdom on a child. I enjoyed the similarities to my family, the domineering grandmother, the greedy relatives, genuine family relationships mixed in with humor. I look forward to future works from Warren Alexander. I hope you will give this book a listen, I believe you will be glad you did.
