This was my first book by Murakami. My friend highly recommended him for exploration. It reminded DFW "Infitite Jest".... entertaining and professional, but somewhat empty in a spiritual way.... im not sure what author was going to say.
Going to check short stories in Norwegian wood chair next:)

Very good picture of the Russian life at the beginning of the century. Not Dostoevskiy or Faulkner, but is good overall.
