Historia
Terrorism, duty, and personal safety collide when Jake Pendleton, an investigator for the NTSB, is called to investigate an aircraft accident in Savannah, Georgia during the St. Patrick's Day celebration. The accident, which at first appears to be quite run-of-the-mill, turns out to be anything but. Since Jake is not willing to pretend there are no suspicious circumstances and more than the usual share of rather unlikely "coincidences," he sets off a veritable avalanche of secrets, violence and treachery.

I enjoyed the story
Revisado: 05-23-21
I chose this book because I enjoy nearly everything narrated by Scott Brick.
This is the first book I have “read” by Chuck Barrett and I really enjoyed it. I am from Savannah and there were some inconsistencies or issues with a few of the scenes but the story was entertaining.
I only wish that Scott Brick had put a little time into researching the proper pronunciation of the cities in the book. Specifically, a minute or two calling a local in Dahlonega would have gone way.
This issue continues to the next book in the series. I have no doubt attention was paid to getting the pronunciation of cities and locations in other countries right, I only wish the same effort was paid to the cities and locations closer to home.

Historia
Pat Conroy was America's poet laureate of family dysfunction. A larger-than-life character and the author of such classics as The Prince of Tides and The Great Santini, Conroy was remembered by everybody for his energy, his exuberance, and his self-lacerating humor. Michael Mewshaw's The Lost Prince is an intimate memoir of his friendship with Pat Conroy, one that involves their families and those days in Rome when they were both young - when Conroy went from being a popular regional writer to an internationally best-selling author.

I adore Pat Conroy
Revisado: 05-23-21
Because I have always enjoyed the work of Pat Conroy, I am always fascinated by his back story. I think I would have enjoyed this so much more if I had read the book vs listening to it.
I found it distracting that Bob Souer mispronounced Beaufort repeatedly. As Pat’s “hometown” it featured prominently in the narrative. Perhaps a few minutes research, a quick call to anyone local, would have been worth the time.
