Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Needs a warning

I struggled to understand what the connection was between these stories other than frustration with each. Mr. Gladwell identifies what is called default to truth when others find it hard to believe a crime has been committed but I take a serious issue with this as the victims of these crimes and the whistleblowers are often defaulted to be called liars. Please explain that.

only bits and pieces

I wondered how the narrator could cover the entire book in an hour. While the performance was very nice it skips around quite a lot often jumping over several pages to get to the next section. Sort of like the movie version of a book. So then just watch the movie.
