Well written minus the….

I’ve always been a fan of this author’s books so was happy to see this one. Overall, the story was really good and the narrator was no January Lavoy, but did and ok job. My only complaint is the spoiler alerts in the form of authors note throughout the book. They ruined the suspense by revealing what was about to happen just before it happened. I found this to be quite disappointing as well as annoying.

This story was pretty good but as usual authors have the impression a couple sex scenes are needed. They are not. I would love to a great who done it without the ridiculous sex.

Horny Psychiatrist Romance novel

I was very interested in trying out this book but quickly became disappointed. While story line first sounded intriguing the actual book is about a sex craved psychiatrist and a disturbed attorney. It reads more like a romance novel with a hint of criminal mystery. It’s also very vanilla having no diversity in characters with the exception of the stereotypical maid and service workers being non Caucasian. The narrator was quite boring as well. Not recommended.

Great first listen

I thought I’d give this author a try and was not disappointed! I really enjoyed the storyline, especially the Native aspects and way of life. The narrator also did a great job breathing life into each character. Highly recommended!

Another ruined novel

The storyline had the potential to be a very good listen but was ruined by the excessive amount of explicit sex scenes. Seriously, do authors actually believe ALL listeners want to be subjected to detailed sexual contact? I’ve listened to Lisa Gardner books before that were really good, this one is a disappointment.

Too busy

Good but jumbled

This is my first experience with this author. Although the storylines were somewhat interesting, the amount of detail and information in the book made it somewhat jumbled and difficult to follow.

Disappointing

The first books were great, full of the action, comraderie and honor I’ve been privileged to experience with the spec ops warriors. This book however has devolved into these special fighters turning into criminals, straight up murderers and disgusting adulterers. Not to mention a romance novel of the worst kind. Speaking from experience, having your spouse have an affair that ultimately ruins your marriage glamorized in a story speaks volumes about the author. I’m done with this author.

Not a great listen

I was thinking I’d try a new author and saw this book was suppose to be humorous. It was not. The storyline was nonexistent and all over the place. The only consistent subject was a sex craved excop and his need to pleasure himself with married women. To say I was disgusted and disappointed would be putting it lightly. I struggled through the first few chapters but ended up abandoning the book for something that’s actually enjoyable.

Very well written but…

This was a well written story and the narrator was as awesome as ever. The only part I didn’t really like was the death of so many main characters.
