If you have any love of The West Wing this book is 100% a must listen. I laughed and cried. I was not expecting to hear Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff reading their eulogies to John Spencer but I am so glad it was in here. This was absolutely amazing.

The narrator is not the same

I have been waiting for this one to come out for what seems like forever. I tried to read the paperback version but Therese Plummer is Nichelle's voice to me and this narrator was awful. I have no issue with the storyline and I know lyndee is going to get some crap reviews because of it. As an ally I am grateful for the story. But without Therese telling the story, it just never felt right. I hope that the issue wasn't that she refused to tell THIS story. That would break my heart.

Twisty turny

I was pretty sure I knew what was happening and then something else would happen that made that a lie. The end result felt a little ridiculous... A little lifetime movie-ish. But it was still enjoyable. Guilty pleasure like a lifetime movie. 😂

I actually gasped

Apparently I am a little over dramatic as the thing that made me gasp wasn't that much of a plot point, and probably wouldn't be of interest if you didn't listen to the mickey series. But in the last few minutes something was revealed that made me gasp and smile. I was annoyed at having to listen to the mickey series to understand something in this one but I actually enjoyed those books so probably a good problem. This story is interesting because it's told more from Win's perspective. I didn't love that but it was an interesting switch up.

This series was fun

The YA version of the Bolitar series was a nice diversion from the Myron series. It was just lighter and I appreciated that even if it annoyed me that I needed to read these to understand upcoming things in the other books. I would love more stories about these kids. I love Spoon and Emma especially.

I love listening to Stephen Weber read but...

This change from the previous narrator to him is a little harsh. His voicing of Esparanza is especially annoying as he gave her some weird suburban housewife accent. Otherwise this was a good story.

It's dumb, but entertaining.

The silliness of assuming the characters didn't know what was coming after the first couple of days was too much for me. It is farfetched by any stretch of the imagination but it was a light listen for a holiday road trip. I would never recommend it though.

I don't know... Maybe I just didn't care enough about the characters in this one. The connections were just too many and too far flung to follow. And the writing style for myron really makes me a little crazy. I probably need a break before I continue on with this series.

This one wasn't my favorite. The internal monolog of myron is a bit ridiculous and getting to the end of the story felt a bit jarring.
