What did you love best about The Hundred-Foot Journey?

I enjoyed the entire book and read it before seeing the movie (which was almost the same as the book). The characters are so well crafted and the writing excellent that I wanted the story to continue.

Who was the most memorable character of The Hundred-Foot Journey and why?

That is a hard question because Madam is front and center and yet so is the Father of the Chef. It is necessary to have all the characters included here because without even one of them the story wouldn't be so interesting. I really loved it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have recommended this book to several friends and I am a firm fan of JoJo Moyes after listening to it. It was a fascinating story and the dog being part of it is wonderful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of One Plus One?

When the sock drawer was opened and the contents revealed.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

It was necessary to have all the characters be included in the narration and without them the performance wouldn't have been so good. You don't need to have a scene described in great detail with excellent readers - your mind does it all and fills in the blanks.

What did you like best about The Days of Anna Madrigal? What did you like least?

I have read/listened to all the Armistead Maupin books and liked them all but this one I felt went over the top with foul language. Perhaps people really do talk like that but it seems excessive and got to the point where I didn't want to continue the story. I did finish it, ultimately.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Anna's journey.

What about Kate Mulgrew’s performance did you like?

I thought it was well read

Wonderful and thought provoking

What made the experience of listening to Me Before You the most enjoyable?

The interaction of a naive young woman who is not able to reach her potential due to family circumstances and the man she looks after, who has all she ever wanted in the way of material goods, but is a quadriplegic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Me Before You?

The end, which is very well crafted and amazingly beautiful. It stayed with me for days.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They bring the characters alive in a way that if you just read the words on a page, the right inflection and accent wouldn't necessarily be as compelling.

Who was the most memorable character of Me Before You and why?

I can't pick one - it has to be two - Louisa and Will.

One of the best books I have listened to and read for a long time. I am now a fan of JoJo Moyes. It is a book to make you think about your own life and how it can change in an instant.

An extraordinary story, both poignant and humerous

Would you listen to Michael Tolliver Lives again? Why?

There are so many sub-plots and each one fascinating - much like our own lives often are
multifaceted, so I would listen to it again; probably on a road trip.

What did you like best about this story?

The interweaving of lives that are totally alien to mine.

Have you listened to any of Armistead Maupin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to them all - and I cannot say one is better than the other because they are a continuation of the lives of the characters that you meet in the first book.

If you could take any character from Michael Tolliver Lives out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Michael Tolliver - naturally!!!

Anyone who listens to this won't be disappointed - there are some explicit sexual descriptions but nothing that we don't already have access to in other forms of media. And if you totally don't like it, then fast forward! : )

Entertaining, provocative, satisfying

The rest in the series.

Excellent reader; easy to listen to with wonderful character development

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A must see if you've lived through the 70's & 80's.

Once I listened to "Tales of the CIty" I couldn't stop wanting to know more about the characters of Barberry Lane. I wish, however, that I had realized that this is the last in the series as it would be better to read or listen to them in sequence. So now I'm listening to them out of order but because of the narrater I don't mind.
