I really tried with this book but it’s so badly written and it sounds like it’s narrated by an AI robot. The idea of the story was good and I got half way through, but when I realised I preferred driving in silence rather than listening to the book, then I guessed it was time to give up.

Simply sensational. WOW!!!

Jack Carr’s books are the best I’ve ever listened to (helped by Ray Porter who is amazing). I’ve been unable to put down the whole series. The detail, pace and excitement are unreal and this series is the best I’ve ever listened to by any author (Carr beats anyone out there). Of the 4 books (so far?) I enjoyed In The Blood more than any of the others - it’s just so real. The research that has gone into every sentence is easy to see.

I can’t wait for many more adventures created by Mr Carr and am sure his stories will be on the big screen very soon. Listen and enjoy the work of a man who will go down in literature as one of the best of all times.

The best Grisham book in a decade

I was wary of buying another Grisham book as others have been poor, but I’m glad I did as this one broke the recent trend. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Can’t wait for his next one now!

Stick with it, well worth it

I have to admit that I nearly sent this back after the first 30 minutes or so as I couldn’t keep up with the technical side of the descriptions, but I’m really pleased I didn’t. It’s a well written and gripping thriller- although a little predictable in places, the suspense keeps up pretty much to the end.

The narration was great and very well acted.

I’ve already ordered the second book!

Riverting

Archer books follow a similar theme which is reassuring. Heads You Win had me gripped from start to finish. It’s an easy and entertaining read/listen, although a little predictable. There are a few odd parts in the story where it jumps in time a little quickly, I almost feel a little bit was edited out! I also felt that it ended a little too quickly. None the less, I enjoyed it and would recommend.

Very well written and incredibly well narrated. Had me hooked right from the start. Very believable story that creates so many questions chapter after chapter. Highly recommend!

Good story. Normal pace and characters. Always predictable to be honest and I feel I could write the books myself now, but still difficult to turn off!

Compelling from start to finish

First of all the narrator was top notch. I could stop listening to this classic Higgins Dillon mystery. Impossible as ever to distinguish the blurred lines between truth and fiction. Throughly enjoyed and can’t wait to listen to more!
