I love this story

I love this story so much. With all the “love” stories focusing on will they/won’t they, it refreshing to find a story that focuses on the importance of romantic partner qualities. I don’t think I’ve ever liked a character as much as Juli. Especially a female character. Most female characters I read about have low self esteem, are scorned bitches, have some baggage they’re dealing with, or have no sense of who they are. It’s gotten so unrelatable and uninspiring to read romance with characters like that. We need more Julis.

I discovered Kasie West about 8 months ago and I've since listened to every book she's written so I'll start this review by warning that it's very biased. With that Saadi, I loved this book! The narration was good, though I didn't care for some of the male voices the narrators tried to imitate. I loved the main character. She had a sense of humor and wasn't as annoying as most teenagers in the recent books I've read. I loved Dax. He had real problems but was a wonderful human being. I like how the story evolved that it kept me interested every stop of the way. If you've read any of her other books and liked them, you'll love this one.

Absolutely loved it. My favorite quote of the book:

"Asking girls out is f-ing terrifying! But since women have periods and give birth, maybe we should have the responsibility of doing ONE thing that's hard."

I fell in love

I listened to this audio on a solo road trip and it made my drive much more enjoyable. First, the story is awesome. I loved taking a glimpse into this fan fiction world, which I'd surprisingly never known much about. I loved the dynamics between the twin's relationship. I loved the whole first year of college and fitting in part of the story. But what I loved most was the narration. Rebecca Lowman became my favorite narrator solely because of this book. There's just something about her narration that makes me engage and relate.

My only complaint was the actual fan fiction writing. I get how it added to the story but it dragged on too long for me and I didn't care for the characters - or the storyline, to be honest. I know Rowell went on to write Carry On, about the fictional characters within this story so I must have been part of a smaller group of people who didn't care for it.

I loved the narration and the story. I've watched the movie several times but never got around to reading the book. I liked what the book to had add to the holes left in the movie and the format the story took in the book. I'd definitely recommend this one.

Now that I listened to the book, I kind of hate the movie. I know this is usually the case, but I was surprised by how much more I liked the characters. They were mature, level headed, rational, and deeply in love. My only complaint about the audio was the music that would play during certain scenes.

Great Story

I've tried reading this book for years and I finally just used the narration. I would listen to it while reading it on my kindle app - which was great because it follows along with the narration without me needing to keep track. It made a huge difference! The narrator does a great job switching voices and his accents are exactly as I would imagine them to be. I highly recommend this audio.
