I am always intrigued by Christie’s more novel Characters. I Enjoyed the youthful characters. It reminded me some of the seven dials characters.

Very elusive mystery

I like the series. This episode was very difficult to guess whodunnit. So many suspects. In the end I guessed it about the same time Judith did. So many interesting twists. I wonder if the author purposely included a proposal about dormer windows on a first floor of a building. Dormer windows protrude from an upper story roof line.

A little intense for me

I know the Middle Ages were a pretty violent time. The characters were great. I really liked Phillip and Tom. Some of the lust and sex references were not my preference in literature. I made it through some of the violence, but when the first torture scene progressed, I realized this novel was just not right for me. I’m sure the book is worth all of the great reviews, but perhaps another highly sensitive person would appreciate the word of caution.

Excellently read

I enjoyed the character of Alan Grant. I especially liked “the daughter of time”. Wonderful piece of historical fiction.

So well written. Fun to listen to. Looking forward to more with this character. Great narration. Love the country scotch accent.

Extremely addictive

I enjoy this type of genre anyway. Something with mystery, a little history, and a touch of sci-fy. I didn’t feel any drag anywhere in the story that made me want to set it aside. I was a little sorry it was done. The ending was fairly satisfying. Not overly satisfying at the end, but a good story with a good ending. Story was not too predictable, but also not too surprising. It was fun to listen to.

I made it past chapter 10

I really wanted to find this book inspiring. I listen to a lot of stuff. I think the idea behind this book is really great. I just could not connect with the characters. I felt like great ideas and inspiration was referred to, but not actually given. Clearly I got the book because I thought the idea of accomplishing more in the morning was a good idea.
Rather than motivating or inspiring me, it caused me to focus on the free tropical vacation and the free coaching the unnamed characters were receiving. I am trying to make myself finish the book. A part of me wants to edit and rewrite it.

If you like this series, this is just more of the same. Some questions answered. Some justice served. Some dreams dashed and some fulfilled. Villains succeed a little and fail a little. The story continues

Great for sleep and relaxation

Started using for weight loss. I don’t think it does much. I do think it helps with sleep though. His voice is more relaxing than others.

Almost missed this

Due to bad reviews, I almost missed this one. It was really as interesting as most of the series. Of course I have my favorites. I appreciate the stories where Mary and Holmes are more of a team. The more repeat characters the greater the connection. Always love the “Arab brothers” and Mrs. Hudson and Mycroft.
