Disappointing and with little to recommend

I finished it but…. It was much like the radio talk show they hosted. It was juvenile, sophmorish and predictable. Not sure why i finished it. I guess I kept hoping it would develop into a story worth listening to and id find something redeeming.

Love the continuation of Issac Bell

I loved the original series and this did not disappoint! One thing I have always liked about these stories is the historical setting and this one was no exception. It has been some time since I read the originals but I did find in this book that a few times the exploits were a little over the top making you suspend disbelief. It did not hinder my enjoyment andvit may have been tttt he case in the originals too.

If you like the Issac Bell stories this was a great reunion with our old friend. I hope there are more to come.

Love the characters so keep coming back

I love the characters. I love the setting. I am so interested in who they are and how they relate to one another that i am always looking for the next book!
I did not choose 5 stars because i also like to be surprised by my mysteries. In this case and in some other books in the series I knew who did it almost immediately. It occasionally annoys me but it is the character development that keeps me hooked.

Great light "read" with characters you like

Love the series! Light, entertaining, perfect with a vup of coffee on my deck! However the audible production for this book is really bad. There are technical problems and narrator problems. I may finish it on my Kindle. The next one in the series is much better from an audible perspective and the first two were great.

Wish they would redo this audible version.

I love this series. I enjoyed the story line and the way the different focal points were like threads in tapestry ... pull on one and another unravels but together they also paint a picture. There were some new characters and perhaps for some fans not enough of the favorites. That did not bother me. The main reason I gave it 4 stars is the ending seemed a little rushed and while it answered most questions it was slightly unsatisfying but nonetheless it was an enjoyable read.

A fun read which always ends with reference and notes for those with curious minds

I admit I am a fan and I can embrace heroes who are larger than life....it is always a good story but one of my other favorite things about these books is that the author shares his research at the end and suggests other scientific books to further your knowledge.
The downside of this audible book was the narration... the narrator sounded like every sentence was an exclamation and had to be read as if panicked ... the prose of the author builds the suspense ... so this was overkill
I gave it three stars because i did enjoy listening i just found it annoying
Over all i love this whole series

Returned book....narration and story not u to par

I loved this series and could not wait to listen to this book....but the narration was very stilted......made the story sound like someone was reading.g a need promoter...I'm not sure if the narration ruined everything or if the writing also lacked life...I freely admit I did not finish the book and maybe it gets better....but I so loved this series and after 30 or 40 minutes of listening I turned it off and returned the book got a refund

The narration was uneven which may have contributed to my failure to finish this book..but the story line was not for me either.?it was a little to dark ...think Criminal Minds in book form...
Sometimes it's ok and I enjoy it s ok me times it is just too focused on the seedy side of life or too dark
