Left me smiling and moving along a jaunty road of who did it and why. Not just the pursuit of justice with a glimpse why they do what they do best like their name sakes. Looking forward to book 2.

Not Quite the Same
Revisado: 03-20-23
It was hard for me to get through this book. It was a fun ride but not the right mixture (fun, laughs, aha, story, bad guys, concealment, exposure, bombs, etc.) moving at a good pace as experienced of the previous adventures. I am being generous to give the story three stars - just because the loose ends were all tied up and not in a predictable way. Hopefully the next in the series will be better than this one.

Good story but narrator needs help
Revisado: 09-06-22
I love this series. The narrator needs help with her pronunciation and the author/producer should fix this. Her blunders are distracting and I usually resort to reading the first 4 books on my Kindle, instead of listen on Audible. I like listening to my favorite stories while I am engaged in other projects.

Character Voices and their Accents Ruins Story
Revisado: 12-06-21
Narrator awful. The male and the female voice characterizations are poorly executed and the accents for the Mandarin, Welsh, Scots, Spanish, English speaking players are even worse.
The mispronounced English words are just hard on ears and the narrator should take elocution lessons.

Historia
No secret stays hidden forever. A phone call from an old friend sets mysterious book researcher Giovanni Vecchio back on the path of a mystery that has eluded him for centuries. Little does he suspect a young librarian holds the key to an ancient secret, nor could he expect the danger Beatrice De Novo would attract. Now both will follow a twisted maze leading from the archives of a university library, through the fires of Renaissance Florence, and toward a passion that could destroy them both.

Narrator Awful, Accents Just Not Right
Revisado: 10-05-21
Please have the four audio books in this series rerecorded with a different narrator, like Amanda Ronconi.
I always have to reread these ebooks on my Kindle. Since the current narrator ruins the listening experience on Audible.
Example: Northern Steppes is pronounced "Northern Steps" the narrator said "Northern Step-pies". This is an awful listening experience with this reader.

Wow, what a wild ride
Revisado: 07-23-21
I loved this story of life, loss, strength, weakness, adventure, running, hiding, traveling, and looking for what must be found. To do what must be done and remembering it can be done.
Never giving in or giving up. A very enjoyable saga.

Historia
James Crowley met his mortal end in a hail of gunfire. Now, he finds himself in purgatory, serving the White Throne to avoid falling to hell. Not quite undead, though not alive either, the best he can hope for is to work off his servitude and fade away. His not-so-sacred duty as a Hand of God? Use his new abilities to hunt down demonic beings that have infiltrated the mortal realm. This time, the White Throne has sent him to the middle of nowhere: a Western town called Dead Acre with a saloon, a moldy church, and little else worth talking about. There isn’t even a sheriff.

Historia
More than a year after she helped save the world from the Sparnaxian invasion, Andrea Vernon is in a good place. Her boss is giving her greater responsibility and she’s getting to travel a lot (although her fill-in is hopeless at making coffee); things could be getting even more serious with her 8’ 4” superhero boyfriend, The Big Axe; and she has a really fun new BFF, Never More. Small issue, though, with that last item - Never More is a supervillain bent on world domination, and it looks as if nothing can stop her.

5 stars to Andrea V and CUP
Revisado: 05-28-19
I enjoyed this story continuing the adventures of CUP and Andrea V. I am already for the next installment to see how USA, CUP, and Andrea V undo the damage wrought by Destron America. Will Nevermore turn over a new leaf? Will the CUP sups destroy Truckface....etc? Where will the statue of Liberty end up? What about the Big Axe, the baby, Ms. O., and the rest of the team as they plan to break Destron America? I believe we shall be in for a big surprise in book 3.

Historia
The eighth book in the series finds John Pickett bound for England's scenic Lake District, where an unsigned letter has summoned him for an unspecified reason. Pickett and his wife Julia, the former Lady Fieldhurst, take a room at the Hart and Hound as the letter instructs him. Once installed there, however, Pickett can do nothing but wait for the anonymous contact to identify himself. A midnight search of the inn's register seems to identify the innkeeper, Ned Hawkins, as his man, but before Pickett can discover the reason for his summons, Hawkins is pushed from a cliff - surviving the fall only long enough to call Pickett's attention to the letter in his pocket.

There is something missing
Revisado: 03-26-19
I like this series very much but this installment dragged on and on. Pacing of the story was slow and I struggled to get to the finish line. This could have been a shorter listen and a faster pace advantagement of this humorous love story of how peas and carrots can be a good dish.
