Historia
Sloane Caraway is a liar. Harmless lies, mostly, to make her self-proclaimed sad, little life a bit more interesting. So when Sloane sees a young girl in tears at a park one afternoon, she can't help herself—she tells the girl’s (very attractive) dad she’s a nurse and helps him pull a bee stinger from the girl’s foot. With this lie, and chance encounter, Sloane becomes the nanny for the wealthy, and privileged Jay and Violet Lockhart. The perfect New York couple, with a brownstone, a daughter in private school, and summers on Block Island.

This was slow getting into and hard to follow. Didn’t feel as though it was suspenseful—just kind of a weird story.

Revisado: 03-22-23
I was afraid I'd find this book boring but it is actually one of my favorite Frieda books--and I've ready every one with the exception of Suicide Meds which is up next. I love how this book took a serious subject but included humor in a way that helped the reader relate to--and sympathize with--the main character. Kudos to the narrator for her stellar performance. Megan Tusing knocked it out of the park on this one.

This book was much better than I was expecting it to be. The narrator did an excellent job of reflecting and developing the characters. I am working my way through the Freida McFaddin books and this one was worth the listen.
