Historia
Though it took some time to settle into his new life in Gravigna, Italy, following the death of his wife, former NYPD detective Nico Doyle has figured out a thing or two. The locals have not only welcomed him, but are giving him rave reviews on his cooking, and his budding relationship with a local woman is healing old wounds. When Nico receives a phone call late at night, he tries to ignore it. A phone call at that time could only mean trouble. Sure enough, it’s Perillo of the local carabinieri. A woman was found dead in her home.

Love the story hate the reader
Revisado: 04-16-24
Love the story and the atmosphere. Too bad the reader is so irritating - no voices, reads at racing speed, no punctuation. Get lost on who is speaking. I loved the first book and reader. The got this one and reader destroyed all pleasure - bought a Kindle version. No more audios with this horrible reader. How could they have him do 3 of the books?!?!?

Do not buy - new reader is dreadful
Revisado: 10-03-22
Quit after 1st chapter. New reader is HORRIBLE. Took all life out of the characters.
Sounds as if she is 12. Will buy the print edition.

Historia
A pair of murders, a little romance, and rivals in pursuit of a long-lost vintage car of unfathomable value - Bruno, chief of police, is busy in another mystery set in the beautiful Dordogne. At an annual fete in St. Denis, Bruno's biggest worry is surviving in the rally race. The rally and a classic car parade are new to the festivities and draw a spate of outsiders with deep pockets, big-city egos, and, in the case of a young Englishman, an intriguing story. It's the tale of a Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic, lost somewhere in Southern France during World War II.

In a rut
Revisado: 09-18-20
I love this Bruno series. The food descriptions make my mouth water. And the local flavor of Dordogne and the small town of St. Denis is excellent. The plots are getting a little simple and Bruno’s personal life is in danger of approaching Peter Pan I will never grow up
Fatigued with his ex’s. Balzac and Hector are more interesting. Reluctant to buy books 10-13
After reading reviews and Bruno still playing with ex’s.
