Another brilliant story by Barbara Kingsolver
Revisado: 06-28-24
I loved everything about this novel. It transported me to ancient Mexico, through the lives of Frieda Kahlo and into the wicked time of the McCarthy hearings. Kingsolvers voices are so rich in depth and character it feels like we are in the room listening to their voices. A beautiful book brought to vibrant life with Kingsolvers telling. Thank you!

how the author saw almost every impression as grey and depressing.

when it was over, I felt immediately better. why the author stayed in Britain given his impression of it and it's people is an act of self flagulation.

Fantastic, nothing left out!

So much detail on Trump and his machine, thoroughly enjoyed Maggie's telling of it. Hard to believe we lived through his dire threat to American democracy.

So many parallels to my father. What a story, of any ordinary Londoner living an extraordinary life.
