Historia
Isolated by Mexico's deadly Copper Canyons, the blissful Tarahumara Indians have honed the ability to run hundreds of miles without rest or injury. In a riveting narrative, award-winning journalist and often-injured runner Christopher McDougall sets out to discover their secrets. In the process, he takes his readers from science labs at Harvard to the sun-baked valleys and freezing peaks across North America, where ever-growing numbers of ultra-runners are pushing their bodies to the limit.

Best running book ever?
Revisado: 06-18-09
Very possibly. And great narration. This is a combination of a great running story and terrific backround information. I was sorry it ended.

Historia
It is an era that redefined history. As the 1790s began, a fragile America teetered on the brink of oblivion, Russia towered as a vast imperial power, and France plunged into monumental revolution. But none of these remarkable events occurred in isolation. In The Great Upheaval, acclaimed historian Jay Winik masterfully illuminates how their fates combined in one extraordinary moment to change the course of civilization.

Does anyone listen to these first?
Revisado: 10-30-07
Briefly-does anyone list to these books before they are become available? Why does a narrator get away with mispronouncing words? I couldn't believe hearing VISA Versa. It's a great book, but I can't be sure what I'm hearing is what's written.
