Encouraging and thought-provoking

Caroline has written a captivating, entertaining book on trauma. Who would have thought something like that was possible?! In You Are Not Your Trauma, she breaks down trauma into manageable snipits, creating a safe, thoughtful study on every aspect of trauma’s effects, physical, emotional, and spiritual. She shares her experiences with a brevity and honesty that makes me feel like we’re best friends now. In reading Caroline’s story, I am able to start looking at my own wounds.
I highly enjoyed the performance as well.

Good narration but this book needs better TW

There is a true sexual assault by the ML of the FL. Honestly I stopped reading after that. The FL says “I’ve never been so scared in my life.” How am I supposed to believe this couple has a chance? Maybe this is a genre that people like, and if you do, that’s fine. But this book needs a better warning of the contents.

One of the best audio books ever

This book is wonderfully written and exciting throughout (as are all of the Rick Riordan books I've read so far). But the best part of this audio book is the narrator. He instantly draws you into the story with his melodic voice. He does the voices so well that in a story with this many main characters I have no question which character is speaking. I have purchased some of my favorite books and they have been very underwhelming because of the narrator. Joshua Swanson is the opposite. Even if this is not your type of book you can't help but be drawn in to the story-telling! Beautifully done all around.
