Save your time.
Revisado: 03-10-25
Let me break it down (with spoilers but you’ll thank me later):
1. Christians and patriots are pathological crazy people - no exceptions. Literally forces them in awkwardly into the plot just to prove a point.
2. Native American philosophy has nothing in common with Christianity (false, it aligns more than you think)
3. Random Native Americans are brought together no matter their background to be at the top of a military and scientific mission to save the world. One is basically a glorified PETA person.
4. Author claims mid-book people aren’t able to identify intelligence unless it looks more like a human…but then goes on and on and on for HOURS explaining just the opposite as these characters discover the intelligence and then do little to nothing to explore it further. He cares more about the humans interactions than the ones between the intelligence they do find.
5. NOTHING like Crichton. I had hopes it would be close especially when the author makes the book that long but no. You’re left slogging through slow character development, absolutely unbelievable plot lines.
Save your time, money and intelligence by choosing a different book.

Horrible narrator ruins it
Revisado: 10-24-24
I hope the author sees this and corrects course because I do think the story would be 200x better with a better narrator. The story gets lost in the awful narration. I can’t even buy the next book in the series knowing he used the same person.

Excellent, as usual!
Revisado: 10-21-24
I love Robinson and his characters never disappoint- the sequel with most sagas is typically “ok” but not this one! The second book is even better and I’m not even sure how that’s possible! Jerc is just like the Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy and the writing is enough to bring a smile to your, no doubt, boring commute. Try it!

Slow moving train wreck
Revisado: 09-24-24
If you’re a fan of really slow moving wrecks. Like let’s say two trains are going to collide but they take 3 hours to do it and it only gets interesting at the last 3 minutes - then you’ll like this series. I’m locked in now because I bought them all on sale but save yourself - the writing, the imagination - it’s just implausible, impractical and downright painful to listen to. I wish I could get my hours back that I spent listening to the characters bemoan their current state and trudge on to [no one cares] ville. Here goes nothing as I plunge into book 3. Just hoping it’ll be the last of this mundane wreck and maybe - just maybe - provide a tad more believability to its series.

I like more suspense and thrill vs more sappy romantic story lines. This was definitely more relationship centered than thrilling. If that’s your thing though you may like this one.

Revisado: 04-15-24
This one book in particular reminded me a lot of Greig Beck’s books but - BUT - waaaaay better. Better characters, banter,a dash of humor, everything. Fast paced as is Jeremy’s style - you won’t regret this one-of-a-kind novel!

A fitting end to a wonderful timeline that I truly - TRULY - wish wasn’t over with this book. I already miss the characters, the banter, the ducks and the truly shocking way this guy tied every single thing together in one massive work. Bravo! Now get back to work because we want more. :)

Historia
“I’m sorry but the answer’s no.” Reluctant author, Anthony Horowitz, has had enough. He tells ex-detective Daniel Hawthorne that after three books he’s splitting and their deal is over. The truth is that Anthony has other things on his mind. His new play, a thriller called Mindgame, is about to open at the Vaudeville Theater in London’s West End. Not surprisingly, Hawthorne declines a ticket to the opening night. The play is panned by the critics. In particular, Sunday Times critic Margaret Throsby gives it a savage review, focusing particularly on the writing.

Book reads like propaganda for spreading an agenda. If I had known that I wouldn’t have bought it. Trying to warn others before they make my mistake. If you’d rather not have your intellect belittled repeatedly - pass on this one.

Boohoo. You had a hard time in 2020 (didn’t we all??) and didn’t like the president. WE GET IT. I read books to ESCAPE. No matter what side of the aisle you’re on - GET OVER IT. I DO NOT want politics or even the hint of it in my books. Thanks, but no thanks. If I want a fun book to take me out of reality and an even better author - I’ll turn to Jeremy Robinson. PS you forgot to thank your narrator in your freakishly long “thank yous” at the end. Bye forever - you’re off of my list and I’m returning this asap.
