The story was ok for some details but it paints Musk like he is some kinda of right wing extremist. This viewpoint is even based on parts of the story now known (and should have been known at time of writing) to be factual. Any view Musk had that deviated from main stream media establishment views is treated like he was a lunatic. I am disappointed in Isaacson's inability to look more deeply into these facts.

Audio apparently not normalized

Besides them constantly repeating the title phrase over and over throughout the audiobook, the reason I’m annoyed is the audio seems to fluctuate in volume and various moments. I ended up adjusting the audio only to get blasted later.

much needed information!

I jumped at the chance to listen to a new audiobook on a subject that was very important to me. There were no other reviews so I took a chance. I am glad that I did. This is an exceptional book full of real supernatural encounters and advice. Much of it rings true to personal experience and I would recommend this book to others who are going through spiritual struggles that the world may label as something else. There is hope and this book can be a helpful guide along the way.

Pleasantly surprised

I am heavily read up when it comes to mental model books and have listened to most of the audiobooks available on the subject. I saw this audiobook with barely any reviews and took a chance, I am glad I did. This will be a repeat listen , it is very well written and covers great topics in an engaging manner.

Tools For Titans 2?

After just listening to Tools For Titans (which was great) I didn’t really understand the need for this book which really seemed to repeat a lot of the same info. I guess if you are a diehard Tim fan it’s worth picking up, but if you are rationing your credits i suggest just getting Tools For Titans.

One of the worst audiobooks I have ever heard

They obviously scammed the Audible review system, which is something I am seeing more and more. A new book comes out on a trendy topic and what do you know... it instantly has over 100 5 star reviews. I was taken in by the title of the book and the description made me take a chance on it. I regret the time I wasted waiting for the audiobook to get better. It never did. I really hope Audible cracks down on this practice of gaming the system with new audiobook releases that are in fact extremely low quality but wrapped in nice packaging. There were a couple other Systems Thinking books that I avoided because they were following the same behavior so I suggest being on the lookout as you search for specific knowledge on Audible... the scammers are out in full force.

So much better as an audiobook

I bought the text when it first came out and ended up flipping through it a few times but never found myself sitting down to read the whole thing all the way through. This audiobook is the perfect way to consume this content, it is well narrated and if anything really jumps out at you, i suggest pausing and making a clip or in my case i will get the text out for reference. There is tons of listening here so you definitely get your credits worth. I recommend.

A book more about the author than stoicism

I was disappointed by how much of the book is about the author and his “improvements” to the ancient wisdom. This book was not what i had hoped for.

Great material with excellent flow

Mental Models are one of the most important areas to study for well-rounded knowledge. This (audio)book does a fantastic job informing the listener of a very large number of mental models. The flow of the story is quite impressive as the narrative covers so many mental models while still sounding quite natural. I have read or listened to every other current book on mental models and they all read rather awkwardly as they spout off model after model, not so with this book as it is a very informative story from beginning to end. I am enjoying listening to it several times over to make sure I am internalizing the models for everyday use.
The narrator I also must say does quite a good job and I found him a pleasure to listen to. I should also mention that while I enjoyed the audiobook, I found the print book to be a great compliment as there are many visual representations and it is easier to pick out all the different mental models with their bold type. Overall I say again, I recommend this book.
