We already have more than two parties: Libertarian, Green Party, etc. Should we keep these or create a new party. Thoughts?

Starting with the positive, I must say this narrator is truly skilled. I was impressed by her wide range of character voices in her repertoire and flawless delivery. The story: The central character is a young human woman from Michigan. I say human because the world she unexpectedly finds herself in is one with sentient beings who aren't human. She is no longer in Michigan, nor even on Earth, and has no idea why or how she got to this strange world. She just suddenly finds herself running from a dragon and finds an abandoned inn where she takes refuge. Now for the negative. I knew going in that this would be a long story but went with it thinking it was perhaps some epic story that would keep me on the edge of my seat. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Not in the least. I guess it's possible this is a style of writing that has a certain audience, but I'm not a fan. For me the amount of time spent going into great detail describing mundane tasks was tedious and boring. I wanted to learn more about Erin, the main character. At the point where I quit the story, which was maybe half way, I still knew little about her. And the violence... I can accept the place violence has in adventure stories, but I find scenes like the one in this story depicting the suffering of a character who has been doused with boiling oil disturbing even if the character in question was a villain, and even if the reason is to get the reader to think about morality, life in all forms and the value it has. Find a better way. But I kept reading and another character dies, this time it's a good guy. I still kept reading... waiting for it all to somehow have a purpose... for the characters to develop enough depth that I could start caring about them. Somewhere around the halfway point I gave up. Disappointing.

I am so disappointed. The story held such great promise and the narration is terrific. Then the story took an unbelievable turn. I don't think I will be disclosing any spoilers. The MC is a single woman who grew up in the foster system. She now works for a charitable organization that helps at risk youth. Her best friend, a married woman with kids, works with her. While discussing a work matter involving a potential donor who is an influential man running for office, the MC is pushed to reveal that she was sexually groped by this man. The incident occurred as she was waiting for a cab after having dinner with him (a dinner she attended for the sole purpose of getting him to donate to the organization). MC is reluctant to tell her boss about the incident for fear that going against this powerful man would harm, plus the tendency for society to blame the victim. But when she considers that this man could come in contact with children and the risk that posed, she decides she must tell her boss but asks him not to go to the media. And of course he does just that. Really?! And of course the accused tells the media that she was a drunk who came onto him and he had to fight her off. Now her boss is sorry but even though he believes her she has to be suspended because of negative news coverage that she's a drunk working with kids. MC is upset but reins in her emotions in order to comfort her friend who is crying. They make plans to meet up that evening for a girls night. After packing up her stuff she exits the building and is met by a barrage of news photographers and reporters. No one from her job helped escort her out through that?! Then when she meets her best friend for their girls night her best friend has her husband show up bringing a blind date for the MC! This is just too farfetched!!! The MC has just had her picture and story of sexual assault spread all over the news, accused of lying and being a drunk then fired and her best friend thinks showing up to girls night with a blind date is just the cure to her troubles?!?! Too ridiculous!!!

Amanda Ronconi is a consistently good narrator. My complaint is with the story which is just...okay... The main character, Sadie, was always quick with a comeback but the banter lacked spark. The characters weren't all that interesting. The reader is told that Sadie and her office co-workers are crazy-quirky but other than the closet incident that descriptor is not really demonstrated. Characters just weren't that interesting, the love interest, Josh, was a boring, sorry sad sack and the romantic chemistry was pretty much nil.

A very intelligent and realistic story of a smart techie woman's life in the dating app world. Relatable and likeable characters. Good narration.

This had the potential to be a great story. Very entertaining plot and Olivia, the mc, is a very likeable, caring and courageous woman and not whiny and annoying like so many lead characters. I would have given 5 stars for the story except for the romantic aspect which was very weak. I don't require bodice ripping love scenes and I can enjoy a slow burn or a love interest who needs a little reforming but this story had next to no romantic spark. While repeatedly described as good looking with "dimpled smiles", her love interest was otherwise unlikeable with little to no redeeming qualities and those are present only in the final book. The story and action held my interest as kept reading and waiting for his character to become more fleshed out. What little I learned was not enough to make me like or forgive his mistakes. The conclusion was poorly written with an abrupt and disappointing ending.

I rarely give the highest rating but I can't recommend this book enough. Vinna is a wonderful character who is completely relatable and someone you want to root for and defend. About the story: As another reviewer points out, the first group of men are not "her men" - she meets them later and feels an immediate attraction and connection. They are completely loveable except one but he comes around and as the reader I felt so happy for her and glad she has them when she later learns she's betrayed ( I wanted to punch some people) and then experiences loss and grief ( tears were she'd). There's no cheating and no cliched storylines. Mia narrates the story perfectly. This is definitely worth a credit and I eagerly await the sequel.

I made it partway through chapter 5 and quit. The story is somewhat Cinderella-esque with Sara being poorly treated by everyone including her family because of her curse, forced to clean latrines for little money. She works and studies hard and rises up the ranks in the intelligence field where she meets the princes. While Sara is a character that you can like and respect, the princes we're not. The grumpy one repeatedly insults Sara, and at one point demonstrates actual physical cruelty to another. He refers to Sara as lowborn filth. None of the other brothers call him out on this and when she defends herself she's mocked and told she must be respectful. At this point I'm done. I'm guessing they have a change of heart but I'm not sticking around. I can tolerate some jerkery if the characters have other redeeming qualities or somehow otherwise likeable but there was nothing I found likeable about them.

Loved the story concept and the narration was good but the main character made a couple of gaffes that were too farfetched for me. What television host would give themselves a home perm and just before a date?! And then how she handled the television segment on her dating was immature and unprofessional.

Stuck with the story until partway through chapter 8 when I quit. Caleb was just too rude, insulting and unpleasant. I couldn't relate to the attraction she felt for him. He was rude even during sex. Mood-killer! This was disappointing since I really wanted to find some redeeming qualities in him but they were just too miniscule to make up for all the d*ckishness.
