Historia
When half-sisters Kat, Flora, and Lauren are unexpectedly summoned to Rock Point, their wild and remote Cornish summer home, it's not a welcome invitation. They haven't been back since that fateful summer twenty years ago—a summer they're desperate to forget. But when they arrive, it's clear they're not alone. Someone is lurking in the shadows, watching their every move. Someone who remembers exactly what they did.

The grammar was incorrect, and the story was pretty slow
Revisado: 04-25-25
I would prefer a faster more interesting story. And it really does bother me when somebody’s a professional writer, and they don’t know how to say “ so and so and me”, instead of “me and so-and-so”. A professional writer usually has a professional editor, and nobody caught those constant mistakes?
I thought it was pretty slow paced. It was good enough that I listened to the whole thing and I’m pretty picky. I don’t finish a lot of books. I don’t love all readers either when they overact and pretend cry over things that really don’t deserve tears. I thought this reader did a pretty good job and was easy to listen to.

When two of her daughters go missing, she's frantic. She learns that the cave beneath the lighthouse was once a prison for women accused of witchcraft. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish this story
Revisado: 04-21-25
This lady is 29 years old and her little sister has been missing for many years. She’s found alive and she’s supposed to be 27 years old but instead she still as young as she was. The social worker never told the older sister that surprise, even though she’s supposed to be 27 she’s only six or seven. She introduced her to the little sister without ever Mentioning that she never grew any older. And then the little girl said to her sister, are you taking me to mommy? Like she didn’t notice that her sister was now 29 years old instead of five or whatever. My numbers are off but you get my point. With so little attention to detail I can’tread on. Why didn’t I check? The Oprah list or something?

Very well done!
Revisado: 04-14-25
What an awesome story. I love the story. I loved the ending. I was surprised after all when I didn’t think I would be. Just because of the excellent way it was done. The reader was wonderful. He wasn’t overly dramatic. He just told the story and didn’t try to force us to feel how he thought we should feel by the way he read it. Great job excellent story.

I’ve heard most of it before
Revisado: 04-09-25
This was a good story. I enjoyed it. I’ve heard a lot of it before. But I think Dean Koontz had the idea first.
I recently read a pretty good book about an adult girl who discovered that her father was a serial killer and was a heroin about it. I think Dean Koontz wrote this first though so the idea came from him and I have a feeling someone copied him pretty much. I just wish that the people reading the stories wouldn’t try to be overly dramatic. It’s very distracting when they sound like they’re crying. I can’t get lost in the story when I can’t stop thinking, will you just read the story and a normal voice and quit acting like you’re crying? I hate that. I can’t imagine that anybody does like it. Oh yeah, and this guy does that quite a bit which is why I stopped to write this review.

It’s been done before
Revisado: 02-16-25
It’s a good story and the reader was pretty good. I know things were different in 1975 but were they really that disrespectful to women? The story was fun, but it’s already been done before. I can’t remember where I’ve heard it. I read a lot and I won’t give away the plot by saying anything here but yes, it’s been done before. I always consider it a big success, though if I can complete a book Because I’m pretty picky about stories.

It’s nonsensical even for a fantasy
Revisado: 02-10-25
I bought all three books at once because I looked up best written, sci-fi books and fantasy books in the last few years and this was on the list but… I am so tired of wasting money on books that aren’t good. Who reviews these books? And I don’t wanna hurt this person‘s feelings, but really? I’m the first one to say it could really be anything in regards to explaining the nature of the universe in life and death, etc. But this? I couldn’t take it anymore. I turned it off at the beginning of the third book.

Best of the five in my opinion
Revisado: 12-23-24
This is more like the good writing. I have come to expect from Dean Coons. In the previous four, I just felt like his usual humor wasn’t there. A lot of his humor comes from his extremely clever characters. Jocca grew on me a little bit more in this story. He seemed funnier. And I really liked Nummy and Mr. lyse. I suspected right away that they would befriend each other, but they were a very funny and unlikely friendship. It wasn’t quite as good as some of his others, but it was better than the other four. If you’ve come this far, you already like the story well enough. You’ll be pleased with this one. I think it’s the best of the series.

Pretty good. Many characters. Very cheery conversation
Revisado: 12-06-24
This is an interesting story. When everything seems to have been done to death, this was an original idea. I liked the reader pretty well and the accents were good even though sometimes the wrong accents were done for the wrong people. Mostly the reader was good. I find it a little annoying when the conversation is extremely cheer And this seemed like that kind of over the top cheerful and trying to be funny when it wasn’t really really funny. But other people seem to like that kind of story. I really did like that. There was a plausible explanation which the foreshadowing told us about when a penny can come up heads up many times in a row, and it doesn’t become more likely that it will become tails up because of it. I’m firmly rooted in science and. Having an open mind about the mysticism was a bit of a challenge. In the end, it is a story for the scientists and the mysticists. I don’t know if that’s a word.

Great story. Well read.
Revisado: 11-28-24
I hate when the readers try too hard and show off with their reading voices like they’re reading poetry or something. This reader did a great job of just reading the story. I never felt like they were too monotone or over the top so congratulations on doing a really good job with the reading.
This was my second story by this author. The first one was gone, girl. I love both. I’m going to look for another one by this author right now.

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.
