Great story!

I didn't care for the narrator at first but after getting into the story, I found her to be perfect for this book. As in all of Barbara Metzger's books, there is plenty of interesting plot and amusing banter to keep the listener happy for hours!

I enjoyed this story but think it had a lot of filler words in it to make it longer. It got a little tedious with all the techniques of art that were totally unnecessary to the story. Good character development and the narration was good.

A favorite story

This has been one of my favourite novels that I re-read almost every year and I was so excited to find it on Audible!! I immediately bought it and sat down to listen. I was so disappointed in the narration! The narrator's dramatic reading was so out of place with the story. She hesitates in the middle of sentences and, about a quarter of the way through, started just reading right through periods! Her portrayal of different character's voices was comical. I found myself unable to finish this narration of a favorite story. I gave it three stars for the story but, Iall in all, this was a big disappointment.

On Second Thought

This was a very good book. The story was interesting and the pacing was just right. The two narrators did a very good job. I will want to hear this again in the future.

Superb!

This was one of the most engrossing story I have heard in a very long time! Craig Johnson is a wonderful writer and George Guidall has no equal as a narrator. He made the tale come to life. I want to thank them both for many hours of entertainment. Keep up the good work!

Upstairs at the White House

This book grabbed my attention and I couldn't stop listening till it was finished! It gave a good look at how the different first ladies acted while in the White House and what they did to change it. The narrator was good but I did have to run it at 1.25 to really enjoy it. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to know what goes on behind the scenes at the White House.

This is one of the best books written by Julia Quinn! Billie and George are splendid in their roles as enemies to lovers! I would like to know what happened to the cat on the roof at the beginning of the story though!!
