I made a promise about 17 years ago that I would read it.
One of the rare times when the author being narrator actually worked.
It is rather slow 2x - 2.5x speed recommend.
I had four things I disliked throughout the book.
I enjoyed the story about the pregnant lady. The humbleness to admits one fault is also admirable by the author.
I am not the target audience so I guess what I think does matter much in this context.- or any context really.

Much much better than what I was expecting

This is only the second series I've read wherever chapter is from another point of view. It was sort of like putting a puzzle together I wasn't sure what was going on before I knew that everything was fitting together. to the best of my knowledge I've never read anything by this author before but I plan on changing that. As a fat balding middle-aged man I don't think I'm the target audience. The way the author painted this universe is absolutely mind-blowing. If I had one critique it's that it was a little short. I feel like this book could have been three or four times longer and not felt too long. There are very few books that I read more than once but this may be one.

Really enjoyable

Really filled in some pieces between episode III and Rebels. As a fan of the Legacy stories I found this new canonical one to be quite refreshing. I never watch the Clone Wars cartoons but I'm sure that would make this book even more enjoyable for people who have.
