Loved Parker’s Story!

I’ve been looking forward to Parker’s book since the first in the series, and KS didn’t disappoint! I never would have expected it to play out as it did, but I can’t imagine it better any other way. Both Parker and Anya have a lot of baggage to deal with, and the way KS approached each character’s introspection was impactful. Their chemistry was off-the-charts, and both are intrinsically good people…which made for an excellent HEA!

I love this 3rd generation tie-in to the Washington Wolves series! If you haven’t read the series, I recommend you start there, followed by the Ward Sisters series, then the Wilder Family. Or, at least read the two books in the family tree for This Wild Heart, The Marriage Effect and Forbidden.

Both narrators were new to me. Their performances were excellent! I was totally lost in Anya and Parker. Finished the book within a day!

Great Cozy Mystery Series!

If you love a good cozy mystery, grab a cup of tea and curl up with a good blanket to enjoy this series! Some twists throughout the series that caught me by surprise…always a treat! Strong storytelling, a little fun, a hint of romance, and Christmas is relevant because the protagonist runs a year-round Christmas store. The cast of vocal performers were fantastic! Highly recommend!

Excellent Collection!

This has to be at least my third reread of the series in the last few years…it’s simply among the best you’ll find! Much more than romantic suspense…I love the close ties among the family, the small town, life on the ranch, the quirky grandma, the sweetness and the steaminess, and especially the depth Cowles brings to each character. Each story is rich…Cowles style keeps me engaged from beginning to end! And, the narration is stellar! It’s the perfect blend to get lost in the stories. I originally read these as individual titles, but to have three in a collection is an amazing offer. Catherine Cowles is among my go-to authors…don’t hesitate!

Well-Worth the Wait!

I’m a huge consumer of romance audiobooks, and Devney Perry is a go-to author for me. I’ve been waiting and waiting for Cross Roads, because it seems a lot that I’ve listened to in the last few months has been relatively mediocre.

Cross Roads was well-worth the wait! DP knows how to construct a fabulous story! This contemporary, western, second-chance romance hit ALL THE MARKS for me! Sweet and steamy, a genuinely good guy, a unique take on second-chance, a resolution I didn’t see coming, and a fabulous epilogue! There’s more, to be sure, but I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this book…it’ll be added to my “Reread Collection.”

Narration was outstanding! Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor gave stellar performances…I was totally lost in this book. Finished it the first day! Can’t wait for the next in the series!

Sexy, Sweet, and Suspenseful!

I’d read The Perfect Game series by Christy and really enjoyed it. So, when Texas Orchids came up on sale, I felt confident buying it. Boy…was it a great decision!

Maddox, a city boy who in his late twenties has a great work ethic, but no clear path that’s his passion, comes to Texas to oversee his grandmother’s beloved Devil’s Horn Ranch after her death. Andie, the girl Maddox met briefly at the ranch when he was 15, is now an equine veterinarian who devotes a large part of her time to the ranch’s vast equine program. Their journey to an HEA includes former boyfriends, hard work and devotion, the cut throat side of ranching, a kindly grandfather, a mischievous younger cousin, and the FBI. I appreciate that Maddox, as well as the men at Devil’s Horn Ranch and most of the men in this story were truly good men. Texas was well-represented in Christy’s work, which I appreciate as a born and bred Texas myself. Christy wrote a great epilogue for Texas Orchids…and that’s the finishing touch to a great romance for me!

Narration was excellent! With such a great narrating duo, I was so glad the Texas accents weren’t overdone or exaggerated. Perfection!

The story of Maddox and Andie follows a previous series, The Mitchell Sisters. I can’t wait to finish the current series and then read the previous one! I highly recommend Texas Orchids! Well worth a credit, for sure!
