Historia
Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Great primer on things we should know and seldom apply
Revisado: 07-08-23
The lessons are simple , timely and seldom applied in American society. Needs vs wants; spend less than you make, steady and holding wins the day all generational and experiential lessons that the author peppers throughout his book in an easy to process format. Start young, start today !

In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.

Historia
Women of color comprise one of the fastest-growing segments in the corporate workforce, yet often we are underrepresented—among the first, few, or only ones in a department or company. For too long, corporate structures, social zeitgeist, and cultural conditioning have left us feeling exhausted and downtrodden, believing that in order to “fit in” and be successful, we must hide or change who we are.

A must read did any professional of color and Allies!
Revisado: 09-07-22
Statistically speaking, professionals from underrepresented communities make up abysmal single digit percentages of Corporate America and often leave to create their own Enterprises only worsening representation. In the most authentic way, Deepa Purushothaman shares here experience in a well researched book that speaks to the challenges professionals of color face.
It is hard not to see how the only way to right the proverbial ship is to be intentional about diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Most importantly though, Deepa provides in depth considerations for all professionals of color so that they can find their true calling- as she did.
Thank you Deepa for writing this! On behalf of the first, the few, the only …Bravo!

Fantastically , Hilarious! Have to see the play now!
Revisado: 11-27-19
John knocks it out of the park with this straight call out of how American society is so unaware of the contributions of Latinos. In his own comedic fashion, he brilliantly leaves no stone unturned in highlighting the many ways our people have contributed to American history. Well done John! You had us laughing from start to finish. Will be sharing and listening again and again!
