Historia
When I gave up life as a hitman, I thought everything was going to be better. I was going to become a PI, help people, and live normally…and then I met Jeremy, the most perfect man to have ever saved my life (I mean, he might be the only one who has saved my life, but he’s still the best at it). From that point on, it was all over for me - I knew we were meant to be. The issue is that he doesn’t…quite seem to realize that. But when he’s targeted by criminals (literally, someone just shot at his head), he needs to rely on someone, so why not me?

A story that captures
Revisado: 12-23-22
Jordan L. Hawk is a new to me author so this was the first book that I have gotten by him but it certainly won’t be the last! I absolutely loved this story!! The characters were well written and so was the plot. As the mcs and crew entered into the haunted world of the house they were sent to investigate I remained on the edge of my seat! Jordan L. Hawk can certainly describe a scene and Tristan James brought the story to life with his voice acting. I cannot wait for the second book!!

Historia
Pebble Cove is not the sleepy coastal town Rosemary remembers from her childhood. Ghosts are everywhere, and only she can see them. When Rosemary Woodmere inherits her estranged grandmother's Victorian tea house, she doesn’t expect to also inherit a ghost named Asher from the 1920s. Things get weirder for Rosemary. Her grandma was supposedly murdered. A body washes up on the beach, and the police suspect her of the man's murder. She's trying to navigate her newfound ability to talk to ghosts. And she doesn't even know the first thing about tea.

Fantastic!
Revisado: 04-10-22
I absolutely adore Eryn Scott, she is my favorite cozy mystery writer ever since I started reading her Stoneybrook series and Pebble Cove is just as good! The stories are excellent and the mysteries are well thought out and often surprise me. Rosie and Asher’s friendship is one of my favorite things

Soooo good!
Revisado: 09-14-19
I loved this story and the narrator! The writing was so good! One of my favorite things is that the main character didn’t go all lone wolf like a lot of heroines in mystery’s, she actually worked with people! And I like that she wasn’t working against the police. Her relationship with her BFF and brother was awesome! And loved Ansil 💗

Ok, probably will buy the next one

This book is pretty good, I love the characters and the story is good. But there are two things that really irk me.
1. At one point the main character calls depression “a popular trend that wasn’t her thing.” As someone who has depression I almost stopped the book and returned it right then and there but decided to press on.
2. Secondly I am so sick of female characters talking about needing to eat “next to nothing” the day after eating a large meal. Can we please stop with that nonsense? Women are more than their weight! And they’re more than what they eat!!

Historia
Jaine has been hired by uber-pushy stage mom Heather Van Sant to write lyrics for her daughter Taylor's song in the talent competition for the Miss Teen Queen America pageant. It's different from anything Jaine has done before, but if nothing else, she's looking forward to a free weekend in a swanky hotel and a chance to see what really goes on backstage at a beauty pageant. But the hotel is a dump, the cattiness is out of control, and Candace - the perfectly coiffed, whip-cracking pageant director - is making even Jaine's life miserable.

Not Brittany Pressley
Revisado: 04-26-19
So unless Brittany Pressley’s voice deepened significantly and she started pronouncing things differently than in the previous Jaine Austen mysteries this narrator is NOT Brittany Pressley.
The story was a typical Jaine Austen mystery, I wish she’d get her P.I. license it’s not like it would make things much simpler and she could still lie if she wanted but it really annoys me that as much as Jaine likes to solve mysteries she won’t get the license.
