I really enjoyed this book. It is a story about young love and coming of age that is well-written with developed main characters. The narrator did a good job of making each character unique. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

What?!

I have enjoyed this author and, based on reviews, gave this one a try. It starts out strong with several possibilities. But it completely implodes. What killed it for me is how the 9-year-old controls the adults. Also, it ends SO abruptly. I finished the book only because I thought there would be some big reveal.

I really enjoyed this book. It takes the classic "who done it?" theme to the next level. There are so many twists and turns. The female narration is not great. It could be flat at times. But, overall, I highly recommend it.

What a ride!

Run on Red grabs your attention and doesn't let go! The author does a great job of setting the tone - a mixture of paranoia and fear - early and developing the story and characters along the way. The tension mounts, leaving the reader (listener) with questions of "What happens next?" and "Why?" The narrator's portrayal of Laura is annoying and high-pitched, but her performance otherwise is ok. I wouldn't say there is a "shocking twist," but the author does a good job of bringing the story together. I did find it odd that the author's message and acknowledgments came before the epilogue. But, overall, I highly recommend this novel for thriller-lovers like me.

Birthday Girl!

This is nor my usual genre but it was part of a 2-for-one sale and had great reviews so I took a shot. it was a well-written love story with a little NSFW spice. The main characters' stories develop throughout the course of the novel. The narrators do a solid job of bringing the story to life. You can feel the chemistry and tension between Pike and Jordan as well as the struggle between following their hearts and doing what they feel is "right." If I have one complaint it's the over-use of verbs like "trailing" and "growling". There was a lot of that going on. But all-in-all I really liked this novel.

Well-Written Story

This isn't my typical genre but I enjoyed this novel as I have all of TJR's books. I didn't love it quite as much as some of her others but it was a cute story with believable, likeable characters.

The Perfect Son

Interesting storyline with a few cleverly woven twists (most of which I didn't see coming). The teenage girl voice that the female narrator did was more like a little girl voice and was somewhat annoying. But otherwise, both narrators did a decent job. Overall, another solid offering by Freida McFadden!

The Housemaid - A++

This was just a great book for anyone who likes psychological thrillers. The storyline and characters were very well-written. Highly recommend!
