I saw a somewhat negative review saying that this book is basically just Skippy doing the same stuff as always. In the wise words of Adams, “BULLS***!”.
Before I started this book, I went through the entire series again—as I do about every 2nd or 3rd new release. Of course, the intense and interesting, wacky antics throughout the books are great and never cease to amuse me. With that being said, I’m absolutely enthralled by the way that Mr. Alanson slowly gets deeper into the lore and history of the galaxy as the series progresses. This book is no exception. If you have enjoyed this series throughout, then you will not be surprised to learn that this book is beyond worthy. The action, dialogue, lore, and of course awesome Sci-Fi concepts are all here for your’s and my enjoyment. 100% recommend!

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.

I mean, the series is one of the best, and this book is one of the best additions. I loved it. Hurrying to finish this review so I can restart the book. Amazing battle scenes, awesome digging into the lores and technologies, and of course, moments that have you squeezing the steering wheel with suspense! 11/10 would recommend
