Historia
I'm the binge-drinking health reporter. During the week, I write about Australia's booze-soaked culture. At the weekends, I write myself off. Born and raised in Scotland, the home of whisky, Jill Stark had booze in the blood. Alcohol had dominated her social life ever since she had her first sip of lager, at 13. She thought nothing could curb her love of big nights. Then came the hangover that changed everything. In the shadow of her 35th year, Jill made a decision: she would give up alcohol.

Humorous and Life-changing
Revisado: 12-17-19
I was a problem drinker and this changed my entire perspective of alcohol and the advertising industry! I am at half a year of sobriety and not looking back! Thank you to the author for writing this book.

Historia
Addiction is a preventable, treatable disease, not a moral failing. As with other illnesses, the approaches most likely to work are based on science - not on faith, tradition, contrition, or wishful thinking. These facts are the foundation of Clean, a myth-shattering look at drug abuse by the author of Beautiful Boy. Based on the latest research in psychology, neuroscience, and medicine, Clean is a leap beyond the traditional approaches to prevention and treatment of addiction.

Holier Than Though
Revisado: 10-10-19
This book took a judgmental approach to addiction. If you are someone who is suffering from addiction, I would not recommend this for your first book.
